Hello, 25 male from UK

Hello everybody,

Hope your all well and losing the weight, I often look in the success forum and everyone looks so well.

Anyway my story:

I'm 25, from England, and weigh 20 stone (240lbs) and around 5ft 11''. I've always been a big lad since I can remember, but over the years I've put a lot more on (I was in the closet, so got upset/depressed so eat more, but now I'm out as gay, wish I done it earlier but oh well).
I don't really eat that much during the day, just eat big portions when I come back from work, I work in a warehouse so pretty active most of the day also, but just cancel out the work with the food.

I've been one of the people who says I'll start the diet on Monday, every Monday :(. I've also built a gym the shed/garage in the bottom of the garden, so I'll post pictures if I find out how to, so people may suggest routines etc cos I have no idea what to do for the best.

I'm no good with the food types I should be eating, like pre/post workouts, for breakfast, also if someone could give any ideas of food to take to work for lunch time would be greatly appreciated. I've cut out the fizzy drinks, and gone on to water, which I actually really like so that's a good start :P.

I shall be starting my diet/workouts on Sunday, and shopping for healthier food on Saturday - I'm a heavy smoker so quitting the *kitten* tomorrow, and don't think I could do both this week, I quit the ciggies before but started again, I'm normally OK after 2/3 days after quitting so fingers crossed as I don't have any parties in the near future so won't be drinking and get tempted.

Sorry for the long story and any friends would be nice so feel free to add me.

Take Care,

Bob x

  • Hello!

I'm restarting my weight loss journey, it'll be nice to have someone log in the same time zone... Most of the people in my friends list are from America!

First, let me say good luck :-) it's going to be tough, but you'll get there! And I am also trying to find out what foods are best pre and post exercise. From what I can gather, it's important to have something high in protein post exercise. I hope someone else is a little more helpful than I am!

Good luck with the stopping smoking too!

I've added you as a friend, others on here can add me too. I keep an open diary.

Just smoking my last ciggie now, I know it will be hard but will worth it.

    Take care x
