20 pounds in 5 months
I can do it! But I'd love some company, support and motivation. Who's with me!?
My goal/ideal weight is low 120s. I was doing great with MFP and got down to my goal weight. But I haven't been counting or logging or exercising enough and I'm up to 143 lbs. I'm 33 yrs old, 2 kids, and 5'2". I'm not at my heaviest, but it's definitely the heaviest I've been in the past couple of years.
I'm going on a vacation to Europe (for the first time ever!) at the end of September. That's just over 5 months away. I want to get to my goal weight of low 120s by then, and maintain that weight through the end of the year (and beyond).
Summer is just around the corner, so there's extra motivation and incentive to start sooner rather than later. No time like the present!

Honestly, I think we should just post whenever we want. If that's once a week, great. More or less is fine too.
I've found out that with me, sometimes I'll join a challenge or a group, and if I don't follow the "rules" and forget to post for a week or two, I tend to give up and fall off the wagon completely. I think by leaving it open, it will allow for more flexibility and room to work with your schedule.0 -

I'm in! 20 pounds is a nice goal (though I am unsure whether it's my ideal weight, so I'll have to wait and see) and it should be doable to lose it in this amount of time. I will check this thread regularly and offer you my support!

Some extra rules:
- If I am more than 195 lbs before June 15, I will donate 100 euros to charity (but I won't give up)
- If I am more than 190 lbs before July 15, I will donate 100 euros as well (btw I am a student so this is a lot of money for me - which also makes it a good incentive)
- I will set more of such goals when time passes. As I mentioned, I'm not sure about what the best end goal is. Losing 20 may be perfect, but it may also be a bit too much. I just don't know.
What I do to reach this goal:
- No fast food challenges (http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1268638-no-fast-food-challenge-may)
- Eat the rainbow every day (http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1280299-eating-the-rainbow)
- Add as much movement to my day as possible: walking the stairs whenever I can, taking little strolls through the workday, biking everywhere I can, parking bike on other end of parking lot so I maximise my walk, etc).
- I will avoid sitting down for too long at my computer (this is the hardest challenge)
- I will keep exercising a lot, I really enjoy this.0 -
I need to lose 30 lbs. According to what the USAF tell me I need to weigh. I havent weighed that little since high school, but would love the support.0
