Not losing at all

I've been running 2-3 times a week for about a year. The past 3 weeks I stepped it up to 3-4 times a week (200-300 calories per workout), have reduced my caloric intake to 1200, and have not lost any weight. I'm 19 pounds heavier than I was 4 years ago, and my doctor wants me back to where I was. Just had my thyroid and glucose levels checked-everything's fine. Why am I not losing????

Running. Only eating 1200 calories. Not a ton of weight to lose.
Sounds to me like you need to eat more. You have to properly fuel your body if you want to lose weight in a healthy way.0 -

I don't think you're eating enough calories considering how much you're working out. If you are eating too little, your body will go into starvation mode and you won't lose weight.0

OMG there is no such thing as starvation mode as you people think of it. Eating 1200 calories is not even close to low enough to cause the body to stop losing fat. MR.M asked the right question. I would bet tons of money most people who think they are eating 1200 calories are not actually weighing all their food on a scale and being diligent with their tracking. Please explain to me why eating more calories would cause fat loss?0

You're eating too much, plain and simple. Whether you're overestimating your burn or underestimating your intake; right now calories out <= calories in.

Excellent article! I went through that process years ago and only once I went to a team doctor did I start the eat less, train less until my body recovered... back on track now!0

You may want to try cutting out bread and rice, bread is overly processed. You should go for a more raw foods approach. If it's processed stay away!! Stick to lots of veggies and protein! Sometimes your body will get confused with the food you're putting into it!!! And no sugar! We all plateau at some point, your body is used to the same old routine! The other thing to add to your workouts it some circuit or strength training. Just cardio is not the sole answer to weightloss. Maybe our body needs the fat stores for energy! Anytime I plateau I find that switching workouts or the foods I eat will restart the weightloss. However I have 30 more pounds to lose, as you get closer to a goal it will become harder to lose. Don't fret!! Try something different. Weightloss is a process, we have to find what works for us, so instead of upping calories, get some strength in there and weigh in again in two weeks!!!0

Would it be nonesense to suggest to her that she try hanging upsidedown for 4 hours out of every day? Yes? Because there is about as much evidence that that works as what you suggested. Can we make sure that the OP is logging accurately and not eating more than their body is burning before we start inventing medical problems for them?
Are you logging everything? Including fruits and veggies, condiments, cooking oils, etc.
Are you using a food scale, measuring cups/spoons, or eyeballing portion sizes?
Will you open your diary for us?
Are you eating back any of your earned exercise calories?
If so, are you relying on MFP/gym machine estimates to estimate your burn?0 -
Change up your workout and do some muscle-building. Plus be as absolutely accurate and honest as you can with tracking. With exercise, you definitely should be losing on 1200 calories per day.0

b. Add weight training to mix up your exercise so your body doesn't adapt to the same procedure &/or add another workout routine or even change your routine. (Look, I'm not going to lie. I totally skimmed this post and just felt like posting something). Are you adding sprints to your jog routine? hills?
c. eat less move more= generally proven to work. You are doing something wrong in either category.
Find something you can stick with and enjoy.
