I'm in. My name is Margaret

    I am currently 203.5lbs
I will say 20lbs for this challenge although I need to loose more.

I gained 50 lbs last year getting back into old habits. Have managed to get from 219lbs at the start of the year.

This sounds achieveable -- although it is beer and BBQ season! Thanks for starting this challenge.

Great job everyone! It looks like we all have some great goals. You can do it!

Make smart choices every meal of every day. Yesterday at my son's baseball game, my other little boy got some snacks from the snack bar. I had two Red Vines, and could have had more, but I just had my little treat and stopped there.

I had a great day yesterday, even though I'm getting over this bad chest cold. I can't do any cardio right now until my lungs clear out, but I kept my calories down and made mostly good choices.

Think about your goal weight when you exercise, whether it's cardio or weights, remembering your goal will help push you further. When you're tired, and you want to rest or stop for the day, think about that goal. Think about how your clothes will fit (that's a big motivator for me). Think of how you will feel, and how proud you'll be. Then run a little further, or do another set, or whatever you need to do to push yourself just a little harder.

One thing that has helped me make smarter eating decisions this week is to remember WHY I'm doing this. For me, it's easy, I have a vacation in September which gives me an exact date. And I have my ideal/goal weight that I want to be when I go on that vacation.

I tell myself: "Is this good for France?" or "Is this going to help me get ready for France?" And by remembering my vacation, I'm stronger and better at resisting temptations.

After the vacation, it's going to be another challenge to keep the weight off... but that'll be another discussion 5 months from now. ;-)

Remember to check in whenever you want. Every couple of days feel free to post a progress update!

I'm hoping to lose about 15 more pounds, but 20 would be Ok too. I just started & lost 4.2 pounds since April 29th. I am just turned 59 (May 5th). 5'6" & currently 153.6pounds. Supposedly at my age & Height I should be between 135 & 145lbs.
I've been bringing my lunch for a while & just started Jillian Michaels newer Kick boxing DVD last week. I am already working out better. More coordinated. some of the combinations aren't in my head yet. But I'm doing the workouts all the way through, uncoordinated or not.

I'd like to join in. This is my first post, though I've lurked for quite a while. I'm not truly looking for a full 20 more pounds, but in the 15-20 ball park. Also, Sept. 15 is my birthday, so I feel like it's a great goal date. :)

**** Rethinking.... Sept 4 I will be 38. I would LOOOVE to be thinner at 38 than I was at 31. I ROCKED 30. I was down to 125. I want to be there again (although don't know about the 125 part....)

    So let's adjust Goal/Weight/Date to 130 - Sept 4, 2014. What a happy birthday that would be ;)

I'm going on a family vacation so I would like to be at 149 by the time we leave. I've been on WW but feel like the "free foods" have not helped me after seeing the calories for fruits and vegetables! Plus I lost my motivation. Now it's back!

    Good luck to us all!

I'm in too! My first challenge and I NEED accountability as well as support. Until now, I used Weight Watchers and had great success ( lost 65lb then regained and relost approx 30lbs over the last 7 years). I want to get to a healthy weight and maintain it for the long haul.
