Here is an interesting article comparing the time and money it takes to make a real burger vs going to McDonalds.

  box of turkey patties: $8
  bag of hamburger buns: $2
  
  that's $1.25 for 8 burgers. NOT that big of a difference, but way healthier, IMO.
