Goto iTunes and subscribe to the Tiesto - Clublife Podcast. It has plenty of great upbeat music to get you moving. It's what I listen to when doing cardio or circuit training.

Depends on my mood.... Sometimes I like to do cardio and just listen to the sounds around me without music but with music it changes.
    Some on my current playlist:
    Sail - Awolnation
Short Change Hero - The Heavy
    Some Nights - FUN
    Supermassive Black Hole - Muse
    Thrift Shop - Macklemore
    And We Danced - Macklemore
Home for A Rest - Spirit of the West
The Little Things - Danny Elfman
    No Heaven - DJ Champion
That's Not My Name - The Ting Tings
Baby Got Back - Sir Mix-A-Lot
Ready to Fall - Rise Against
    Dead Disco - Metric
    The Pretender - Foo Fighters
212 - Azealia Banks (Warning Inappropriate language, including a word that rhymes with punt)
Wake Me Up - Avicii --Speed Remix
Say Hey (I love you) - Michael Franti
Immigrant Song - Karen O (fantastic remake)
Can you Do this? - Aloe Blacc

I mix between fast and slow since I do a lot of interval work. I would recommend playing around with music and trying out different genres to find what works best for you.

I need to get a better setup for music listening, I can only really do it when I'm doing the elliptical, treadmill, walking, etc.

My headphones always keep getting unplugged doing anything else. Thinking about looking into some bluetooth headphones.
  • I like push it by garbage
anything by Jay Z and Lincoln Park

I have to listen to music when I work out, almost like a must. But the biggest issue is a good pair of headphones that don't come off.

In Flames is my go-to workout music. Most of their songs are fast paced and they help keep my energy up.

    Other favorites:
Linkin park's older stuff (meteora & hybrid theory)
    Mudvayne
    Emmure
    Winds of plague
    Suicide Silence
    Lamb of God
    Metallica
    All That Remains
    Static-X
    & of course, Slayer.

There's always 2 songs I put on my workout playlist no matter what.
    The Flame - Chimaira
Two inches from a main artery - Through the eyes of the dead.
Both of those songs get my adrenaline flowing no matter what :)

I have been using the Rock My Run app, it's a free program and you can download the mixes (all types of music ie.. Rap, House, Techno, Country, Indie, Rock, 80's etc...) the mixes are also free as long as you only download the one that are 60 mins or less in length, if you want more than 60 mins you have to pay for a premium service but I find the 60 minute does me fine as when it comes to the end I just play it again or start another mix. You can stream the mixes live too on wifi or 3g but I find it easier to download them when I;m on my home wifi and it literally takes seconds to download a 60 minute mix and you have it available whenever you want.

I was wondering if Eye of the Tiger would eventually make its way into this thread. It seems to be the ideal way to start a workout. It's just like staring a long car trip with Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song."

  • Pandora Radio is super helpful for me. You pick the genre or artist you like and it plays a mixture of that music and similar music as well. It provides a lot of variety that you are more likely to enjoy as well as the music you already know you do.
