This met be a silly question, but new to weighing food. I am eating a baked potato, do I use the precooked weight or the cooked weight when adding up my totals?

Use uncooked whenever possible.0

I try to use uncooked most of the time. That way I know how much I am about to eat! Then find the uncooked/raw entries in the database, and you're all set.0

It's most accurate to weigh it raw and log it as raw and then cook it. If you didn't weigh it raw, then log the cooked weight and make sure you use the cooked option.0

^ Yep.
Also, if you are unsure, check out www.nutritiondata.com to look up the information. You can choose the weight option in grams or ounces and be sure it's accurate because it's the USDA values. Sometimes the things people input into MFP are way off.0
