Weight just isn't shifting

I have been hitting the gym 4/5 times a week for the past 3 months. I usually spend around 1.5-2hrs there each time and do a mix of cardio and weight training. I eat well, following a Paleo diet at the moment, but I just cannot seem to loose weight. Although I will loose a few pounds one week I will gain them back the next week without having changed anything in my routine.

My personal trainer says that I should set non weight related goals and take pride in having been able to hit them (I can run futher, lift more weight and I know I am much fitter) but I cannot stop feeling dissapointed every time I step on those scales.

I just don't understand what is going on an wondered if anyone else has experienced this and can offer some advice?

Thanks!

What weight are you now? How tall?

    What's your calorie goal?

How are you measuring/weighing your food?

Are you body measurements changing? Are you taking progress photos?

I gained and lost the same 4 lbs over and over- however my body fat went down from 29% to 25%.

    I currently weight 166lbs and I'm 5ft1".
Based on losing a steady 2lb per week I am on a calorie intake of 1300 per day.
I weigh my food against a diet plan set out by my personal trainer.

I haven't done any body measurements or photo's as my goal has always been weight loss. I know that some of my fat turning into lean muscle could be a factor but I would have still thought I would see more of a weight loss than this.
