Thought a good as a place of any to share.

When I'm hungry for savory carbs but I don't want to pile on calories I use Ryvita Crackerbread (19 kcal) with a serving of Marmite (9 kcal), no butter.

It takes some effort to eat and is satisfying and also has the savory saltiness. Also has some nice B vitamins too.

If I wanna upgrade a Wholemeal crispbread is a 20 kcal + extra but nicer.

Beats the 150 odd that a piece of bread would be with a similar taste reward.

I have ryvita and marmite most days, I even take the extra cals for the Dark Rye (33cals each) - yummy and good for you too!!

Great idea, though here in my local Kroger and Walmart stores they sell bread that is 35 calories per slice, so I just buy that now. It eliminates my need for getting inventive for things like this thankfully.

The Canadian government has banned Marmite and Ovaltine, among other British food exports because they don't meet our "regulatory requirements" here. After how many years of importing them??? That's RIDICULOUS!!!

    that is ridiculous!

It was only recently I realised they were a bi-product of the beer brewing industry.
