    wow...not sure

did you want exercise for weight loss or health? Just the walking to work is good etc.

Or do something specific on the weekend if it's for health...if it's for weight loss don't stress it..you get that all from your existing deficet.

Fat loss comes from a calorie deficit. It's better to spend the time on meal prep vs exercise. Do you have a lunch hour that you could go for a walk during?

Life Balance is really REALLY hard at times. Work and a PhD sounds like a pretty brutal combo.

    Some possible options:
    1) Walking to from work / school
    2) Eat lunch at your desk, workout at lunch
    3) Workout between work and school?

    Rethink what a workout is:

15 mins of bodyweight / circuit style training is beneficial.
Tough Mudder website has a few that are good.
7 minute app for your smartphone or tablet - or others there are lots.
Every hour at work, find a quiet spot and do pushups and situps, BW squats, climb the stairs.

You don't have to exercise to lose weight, as the other ladies have stated.

Meal prep is going to save you. You clearly have time to make Starbucks runs and wait in a drive-thru. Think of how much time you'd save yourself (and money) if you just bought groceries on the weekend and portioned out for the week.

And speaking of the weekend, if you want to exercise, there's your optimum time to do it (or whenever you have the day off from work).
  • Great thanks for the tips, this week I have brought a lunch everyday. Now having time to eat is a different story, I am a nurse, I usually send a coworker to starbucks to get a salad and a skinny lattee for me.
I am exercising to get to goal weight, I am 30lbs overweight but want to try to get back to high school weight =]

See if you can do anything in small increments. Sprint up and down the stairs 5 times on your breaks, do lunges down the hall, 10 squats and 20 jumping jacks every time you hit the rest room (if no one else is in there, haha). When ever you have a moment, use it!

Good luck. Also remember that your life won't always be this hectic. Do what you can, when you can.
