Feel like I'm binging

I've hardly had much to eat today and got home (it's 1150 pm) and I'm snacking on pretzels. I'm scared I won't be able to stop bc I'm sooooo hungry. However I don't feel hunger because I've starved my body so much. I received weight comments tonight (that I need to eat more/am too thin) and I know they're coming from good places but I'm just so afraid. Help. I'm all over the place in this post, sorry.

    Why haven't you eaten today?

You said it yourself, you're bingeing because you're hungry.

Put the pretzels away and go eat a proper meal.

If you feel unable to eat then you should discuss this with a doctor.

Everyone binges at times. Part of being and feeling healthy is the food we consume. Hang in there

You say you are hungry and you say that you don't feel hunger. How can that happen at the same time ?

    I agree with this.

Your profile states that you're in recovery from anorexia, so it's hardly surprising that you don't have a good gauge of hunger. Are you still receiving professional help for this? If not, it's time to get back to that. You say you're supposed to be gaining, but losing about 1lb a week. It seems like deep down you know what path you're on here. Please get the help you need. :flowerforyou:

Yeah, it's totally normal to experience extreme hunger during recovery. If your snacking is causing you anxiety, talk to your dietician about it so they can come up with a more satisfying meal plan for you. Make sure you're not restricting because the more you restrict the more binge-prone you become. Good luck!
