Gonna have to find a way to get some pure strength training in. The Leslie Sansone videos incorporate strength with the walking. Should I count the amount of time it takes to do the video?

Count me in if its not too late. I have 6kgs to lose before I get out of control. I joined the gym a month ago and have only been 4 times so my challenge is to get back to the gym and start my healthy eating and taking control again.0

It took a while of learning what to/what not to eat. And often one meal completely blows it! :grumble: Way to go though! :drinker:0 -
I've got this sodium down. Lol. Going out to eat at lunch today tho.....we'll see how that goes.

This high amount of sodium is what I get for eating at my mother in laws! :grumble: Oh well, LOTS of water today and LOTS of sweating at the gym!0 -

We went out to this Japenese seafood/sushi buffet for dinner last night so I have no clue as to my sodium intake ((I'm banking on it being over 2,000 though!)). It tasted SO good though! Splurging once in a while is ok, now it's time to get back on track today! I got some new workout shoes last night and can't wait to try them out!
Any suggestions for next week's challenges? I'm thinking about watching fat intake.....0 -

OMG, what was I thinking going to Wienerschnitzel! I knew the sodium was high but that was more than 1 day worth of sodium. Then, we had ladies night and that was no help. Oh well, guess I'll be drinking alot of water this week.
I think fat intake is a good idea. Then maybe carbs. I like these challenges! I think we need to do sodium at least once a month. It seems like almost everyone is having a tough time with that. Exercise, maybe jumping jacks or something that gets your hurt rate up quick.
Hope Everyone is having a Great Weekend!0 -

I started off good with the sodium, all has gone down hill. Eating out is truely the enemy! The only days I went over are days I ate somewhere other than home. grrrr.... :devil:0 -
I'd love to join your challenge group! I think a new challenge each week would certainly help to keep me interested and on my toes. Quick little bit about me - I'm Lisa, 30 years old, married and living in Australia. I work full time and also study, and am a total geek. Oh, and I want to lose about 50kg (bit over 100lb) this year, in time for when my husband and I go overseas for Christmas and New Year.
I'll start with the new challenge on Monday - can't wait!0 -
UGH! I did NOT do very well with this week's challenge. I never got under 2000mg sodium and barely any strength training. :grumble:
My calorie intake has been good though.0 -

Baby steps, baby steps. At least your head was in the right place, and your calorie intake was on point so that's GREAT! Just stick with it, sodium is a tough one to consistently stay under.0 -

I did ok this week. Over half the days I met my sodium goal and ALMOST met the goal for added strength training. All in all, I'll say it's a success! Ok, I'm going to go post next week's challenge - be back soon to post the link!0 -
Next week's thread has been posted! Good luck for the weigh-in tomorrow!

I sucked! I gave up looking at my sodium, did 40 mins of strength. I also ordered a bodymedia last night. I need to get rid of 50 lbs and I don't think my hrm is accurate looking at what other's burn.0
