OK I have a kind of demented humor and yet a real one too, I'm a little blunt in my approach at times but it is what it is...that's my disclaimer for you all before you continue to read. Today I posted THIS on my news feed and in my FB news feed because it's real, it's me, and it is what I am experiencing as a morbidly obese person who's almost at a 100 lbs lost and down from a 24-26 (carried over 20 years) to a 12 (haven't seen that since high school in the 90's!!)...that's my reality, here's my post!! LOL laugh on....
LOL ok...a couple of NSV's that I have to share, take them as you want, I find them a little gross, a little sad, and a lotta funny...First one, I have an apron, have had it since the first child was born and it progressively grew with each child and pound gained. It's been the most discouraging, most grotesque thing you can imagine. It's been solid, with exercise it's jellied up a bit and has become a HUGE concern regarding excess skin. Anyways, I'm rambling, this apron stretches from hip to hip and has just upset me for so long, it still does!! However, today I noticed that the defining line that is seen at my hip, that causes such an unattractive appearance, and a fold that makes me look horrendous in skinny jeans, is almost gone, meaning I can see my hip without lifting the fat!! OMG OMG OMG!! and that wretched fold that makes me look like I've sausaged my thighs into any of my pants, making this huge like wrinkle, is almost a straight line from chest to leg!! The second thing, while in the shower today I could actually wash my butt and crack around the side of my body without having to do a bent over tweener between the legs to get back there!!! LOL Which leads me to my third and final NSV, I notice my range of motion is amazing with the increased exercise and weights!! I really am in awe at the progress this once morbidly obese woman is making in life!! Loving the NSV's and the little things about being fit and healthier!! Have a splendid day everyone!!27 -
I was almost not let into a casino because I stole my "big sister's" ID, here the security guard couldn't believe my face would have changed the way that it has.19

I was able to fit into 18's again a few days ago! I was admittedly in denial that I had grown to a 20-22.9
-
I wore a size 2X shirt to church yesterday. I haven't worn a 2X in 4 years.14

Tried on a bathing suit that I have not even put on in....3 -5 years ?
Went on easily, no tugging ! (one piece) and is almost too big now.
Next NSV, very soon...fitting into my all time favorite dress that I wore to a wedding in 2001 !9 -
Holding to read later0

1- My clavicles are back.
<-- 2- I took a good picture. (a few bad ones are what made me want to change)
3- I went out to a buffet with a bunch of friends, some who are half my size, and I had the smallest plate, the most fruit, and the least amount of tummy torture afterwards. I'm used to all that being the exact opposite.
Also I've lost the least amount of weight from my booty so that thing POPS and I'm very pleased with it.10 -
Went to the beach yesterday and didn't feel self conscious in a bikini.12

Today I ran a mile and a half in 16 minutes - last August I couldn't even run 30 seconds! Woo hoo!18
-
Ran 6.33 miles in 60 minutes on the treadmill as well, I was stretching (fine I was hugging myself!!) and today just really appreciated the definition in my shoulder blades on my right side on my back.9

Today I ran a mile and a half in 16 minutes - last August I couldn't even run 30 seconds! Woo hoo!
Congratulations! :flowerforyou: I know how awesome that feels like! I used to feel like death after running for 30 seconds, now I feel a lot better too5 -
I have a few. I fit into size M scrub pants. I skipped size 14 entirely and jumped right to 12s. I put my wedding dress on for the first time in 10 years and it fell off. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't find the size I was looking for, when shopping. Then it struck me, I DON'T HAVE TO shop in the plus size section anymore!15

ive been doing the same 4.5 mile walk for the past two months. when i first started, i tried running some of it. killed me to go half a minute like some others here.
tonight, on my last mile and a half, i suddenly decided to burst into a 5.5 mph or so jog. thought itd shave a bit off my journey home, but i kept that pace until i hit my porch. think these "walks" are about to get a lot shorter.16 -
After Zumba, the instructor came over and told me I'd done really well18
-
I tried on dresses today for my son's graduation and needed not 1, but 2 sizes smaller!! Yay me! And great job to everyone else!!10

This weekend and old college friend said- "I don't think I've ever seen your butt and thighs that small!" - something only a good friend can get away saying17

Tonight at the gym, a guy I see all the time in the weights section said he thought I had perfect form. It is particularly awesome given he clearly knows what he is doing and I sometimes watch him teaching others! He then followed up by asking if body building was "my thing". I did laugh a bit because I absolutely do not have the commitment to make a body builder physique. But I loved it that it crossed his mind that I was remotely fit enough to be classed as a body builder. :blushing:22

I started running again! I haven't run in 17 years! I think it will take me a while to get back up to 45/60 minutes, so I'm HAPPY to run for 30 minutes13
-
I can bend over and paint my toe nails18
-
i went out of town this weekend to celebrate my friend's birthday and I received so many compliments about how good I looked! It felt good! Even her mom noticed9
-
My mother took a picture without me noticing and commented on how "toned" I looked. It made my day considering how hard I had been working to lose weight.14

I put on a pair of jeans this morning that haven't fit me in 7 years!12

I actually posted this yesterday on my personal page:
NSV: I can finally leg press 95lbs again!8 -
I was able to run NONSTOP for a mile while pushing a stroller that is prob around 100 pounds felt so amazing hoping one day to run a 5k with the stroller :-) I used to dread the stroller and having to hear the girls fight but now they just sit back and enjoy the ride with a few fights here and there11

I did Pilates yesterday and have felt my abs all day today.9
-
I was able to fit into a size 24 shorts and new jeans today at Macy's that I actually LOVE.
I also noticed my profile no longer has the "fake baby bumo" as I call it - basically always had the bump that stuck out beyond my pants causing me to look pregnant in my profile. It's now basically non existent and my confidence has skyrocketed!
Also this is the outfit I bought today and love it

My only raincoat, which was given as a way-too-small gift, zipped today. It's snug, and I won't sit with it zipped, but what a victory!!!!
My walks are getting much faster, even though I feel like I'm moving sooooooooo slow! :laugh:10 -
I won't have to go around naked this summer after all, as my summer clothes all fit quite nicely.
And the world breathed a huge sigh of relief.
:bigsmile:24 -
I've always had a big butt (it's been compared to Kim Kardashian's ugh) and now it's lifted! Feels great to have a great butt haha But I'm still hoping it gets a little smaller!9
