Bit of a strange one but my hubby brought back a bag of Almond M&Ms from America in December and I've managed to make them last 4 months, even though I opened them, I was able to just eat a few at a time then leave the rest for later. Normally they wouldn't make it past a week!!!31

Yeah where is that like button!!! What a wonderful and uplifting thread, it put a big smile on my face and inspired me to do Shred already so thank you all :flowerforyou:
I have had a few NSV. The biggest one was when I was having dinner with my two lovely friends the other day. We were all dieting last year and lost weight though all of us just wanted to lose ASAP. Two of us were low carbing and the other was on a VLCD. Both have put their weight back on (as had I). We went to an Italian and one of my friends was on strict Atkins and us other two ordered pizza. I had planned this treat all week and was looking forward to it. The pizza was divine, I ate just two thirds and was satisfied while my friend ate all hers and then said she may as well have desert as well now she had blown it. I had a skinny cappuccino and secretly congratulated myself for finally realising that this is a life style change. I told my friends I know it could take a year (maybe more!) to get to my goal weight and they looked shocked but I think the way I am approaching this now is sustainable. I lost 9lbs in 4 weeks and although a lot was bloat it is not too shabby
Another NSV is that I am getting my defined hourglass shape back. I am lucky in that I always go in and out but I can see my waist is getting smaller and tighter. I also see my cheekbones reemerging and I can take my fat jeans on and off without undoing them :bigsmile:27 -
New NSV...did real pushups today. Not nose to the ground but solid pushups none the less. I always just drop to me knees but today I decided I could do it. Felt great. Now I just need to get lower but I know I will. Anyone have any other NSV's to brag about?15

My current profile pic is my most recent NSV. When clothes that were skin tight start to become loose...that is the BEST feeling!!21

Threw three large trash bags of fat clothes in my car today gonna go donate them tomorrow.....27

I had gained weight from my usual unsatisfactory weight and I had to shelf a pair of work slacks because they had become way too tight to be appropriate or comfortable. I tired them on today and they fit perfectly, so I wore them to work . So, I've lost the weight i gained and now it's time to continue to a healthy bodyweight. Hopefully I'll need a whole new set of work clothes in September!19

As of now, I don't really have any major NSVs but choosing healthier options (veggies, fruit and water) instead of unhealthy ones (donuts and softdrinks) is a big thing for me. I hope it does count.26

I had veggies instead of steak today. Usually that would upset me a lot, but today I was Not So Violent :bigsmile:15

bought my first size medium gym shorts today. was always a 2x.30

I am fitting back into a lot of my old clothes. When things no longer fit right, I always used to throw them out or donate them, but this time around I had kept all of my too-small clothing. I haven't worn some of the stuff in 6 months to a year and now I am fitting back into a lot of it. Only two pairs of pants left to work into11

Tonight in Krav class, during basic combatives, I was holding the punch pad for a new guy. The trainer (one of the toughest, most amazing women I know) told him, "Hit harder than that... She can take it... She's badass!"
Me... Badass... I'm still grinning. :glasses:27 -
I am a M size shirt. Discovered by accident while getting ready for graduation.
My underwear is getting big.
I don't feel my back fat when I drive. (Yay!!!)
I can see muscles in my arms when I flex.
My tight skinny jean pants are feeling bigger.
My work pants from 2009 can button-up and zip!
My fiancé noticed my waist is smaller.
My trainer said I'm disappearing.27 -
I found some old jeans I hadn't fit into in 8 years last month. Now I need a belt to hold them up.11

shirts not fitting across my biceps, shoulders9

After being pulled over for speeding last week, the officer suspected I was using a false identification at first before he accepted that I had lost a lot of weight from my license photo.
If you're wondering, he ended up giving me a warning, I think the weight loss played some small role in his decision to not give a full ticket since we had a short chat about what I did and some other people he knew that did something similar.34 -
Having my son (who's in the Navy) use me as an inspiration to his command to get in shape. He told me that on Mother's Day. I cried...36

I went to my cardiologist yesterday my weight has always been a bone of contention between us. He actually giggled when he saw my results. ( something I didn't realize he could do frankly) He was smiling for the whole appointment and told me how impressed he was at my determination and that I had doubled his expectations for the year.
BUT
More importantly during the echo it was discovered that my artificial mitral valve has actually improved in function because of my weight loss. Something I didn't know was even possible. I am REALLY proud of that!
Makes all the hard work worth it.56 -
1. Two women who stand behind me in Jazzercise class stopped me last night and told me "You look great. We've definitely seen a huge change in you over the months." - It was a very cool moment.
2. Fitting into my next pair of "goal jeans." Every time I fit into a new pair of smaller jeans I buy 1 pair of the next smaller size and then work towards fitting into those.26 -
Fitting into size 8 pants and medium bathing suit I think the last time either happened was at least 18 years ago.17
-
A swim suit with no skirt for the first time in many years20
-
I tried on a pair of pants a size smaller than normal and they fit
My fitbit is a notch tighter
and I still have chocolate left from Easter!18 -
Getting a compliment from a stranger at the gym saying my transformation was nothing short of impressive.
But most importantly to me, getting off of insulin for my diabetes and dropping my metformin by 1000mg a day makes all the hard work well worth it.24 -
Put on a pair of dress pants for an interview that were way to small when I bought them. Put them on thinking ugh I wont be able to wear them. I was right, I couldn't wear them because THEY WERE TOO BIG!!!!!30

Love this - so inspiring! Congrats to everyone :flowerforyou: !
I have a few -
-My favorite necklaces fit again. A couple years ago, they were snug against my neck, now they hang perfectly.
-All my shorts from last summer are too big - they slid off without unbuttoning them.
-Towel wraps completely around me.23 -
I can pull down most of my pants without unbuttoning or unzipping them.13
-
Bough new bras yesterday. Went down one back size and one cup size!18
-
A few recently! The appearance of my collar bones & rib cage (the second one only when laying down), my smallest jeans are now baggy, and another that is a little more detailed.
I was at work & sitting in another coworkers chair. One of the Maintenance guys walked up & was talking to us, he mentioned me & the other coworker kind of looking alike. I shrugged & said "yeah, I can see that". He laughed and said "Really? I was playing. You really think so?" I said "well we're both bigger girls, both have long dark hair." To which he replied, "Yeah, but you're smaller, and you're prettier." Haha... I shouldn't gloat but it kind of made my day.12 -
Squatted 125 this morning, personal record. Fit into an XS dress (might be vanity sized, but whatevs) on Sunday.14

These are my favorite threads. Very favorite. My NSV is that yesterday I hit 365 consecutive days of logging on MFP! And I logged on every one of those days (with the exception of 13 days off after an appendectomy). 22 pounds down about 40 to go!17

This past weekend, I ran into an old acquaintance for the first time in about 5 years. She did a double take, walked up to me and said "What...the....f***? You look FANTASTIC!"
Always nice.17
