I bought a large babydoll shirt with the hope it would fit in a month. I tried it on when I got it and even tho it's a little tight around the waist it fits. So happy.7

84 day streak of logging.....I am focusing on 100.26

Today is 100 days of logging and tomorrow is 5 years, 11 months without smoking.91

I ran my fastest mile today without using my husband, a treadmill, or anything else to pace me!!!25

Yesterday, I was told I had hips. The person said my shape is starting to form nicely.19

last night my resting heartrate was a 58 and today i got a size 14 slack on and zipped. not buttoned though. soon though16

- I got some pants back from the dry cleaner, went to put them on, and realized, whoops - I can't wear these, they are way too big in the waist. I can't even safety-pin them so they fit right.
- Walked into work this morning and one of my coworkers said "you are smaller every time I see you!" (Not true, but was nice to hear)
- I bumped into a former coworker the other day and she didn't recognize me at first. I had to wave at her and she looked shocked. She said "your face is so different, I guess it's your cheekbones?" (you can see them now)
I haven't lost much on the scale but every time I see someone I haven't seen in awhile...I realize the "body recomposition" thing must be working20 -
Well done everyone, love reading people successes
Mine is I've reached a healthy bmi weight, I started at morbidly obese. I can't wait for my Dr to log it when I next go.27 -
I love this thread!! So nice reading everyone's NSVs!!!
My newest one(s) came last night. I was shopping with my husband. He has lost weight on MFP too, and his men's large plain colored t-shirts are getting kind of big on him so I started wearing them as sleep shirts. They were on sale really cheap and we bought several medium (men's) and they fit both of us nicely. My husband is a lot fitter (and taller/bigger) than me but that was still awesome considering they're the same kind of shirt I used to order in XXL and still had to stretch out the bottom area to fit my hips! A medium!? Awesome.
THEN, not an hour later, we were walking at the mall and went into JC Penney and I saw an adorable pair of "boyfriend jeans" in the regular ladies section under a clearance $14.99 sign...I had to stop and check 'em out. They were a size 12. I was feeling cocky so I bought them. I have fit into a few 12s but the majority of my current jeans/pants are 14 or juniors 13/15. I got 2 different pairs and when we got home, they already fit perfectly!! The last time I wore a size 12, I was in 7th grade and 13 years old. I am 37 now.41 -
No more plus size shopping.28
-
I tried on some clothes from the back of my closet that had slowly gotten pushed back there as I was gaining weight when they no longer fit and discovered that I now fit back into many of them15
-
No more plus size shopping.
that is a weird yet great one for me, too. I keep getting Lane Bryant coupons in the mail that I cannot pass up like $15 off a $15 purchase, but the last 2 times I go in there I have to try on like six tops to find one that is cut small enough to work out. I think even those days are ending...last time I bought a simple nightgown and some nail polish. I actually never thought I would be out of plus, and didn't really mind either. I didn't think I would ever be back in ladies.16 -
Yesterday I went with my daughter to pick up her wedding dress for her November wedding. I was looking around at mother of the bride dresses and found a couple I liked. But the largest size they had was a 16. I haven't worn a 16 in forever but decided to try them just to get an idea of what kind of dress I may want. THEY FIT!! I want to loose more before the wedding so I didn't buy one but I know I can at least fit in any of the ones I liked.30

I just realized this week, that 90% of my old clothes are really too big to even get by wearing anymore. Its to the point now where they are just looking stupid. Guess thats a good "problem" to have27

Seriously love that feeling!
I interviewed for my current job last August wearing this top that I thought was super cute & figure-flattering, it was a short sleeve shirt since the weather was like 100 degrees and of course I had to pair it with a suit type outfit. Anyway, the other day was our first REALLY warm Spring day so I thought I would pull it out and wear it. I knew the shirt would be baggier on me but I thought it would be okay. WRONG. I looked wretched, like somebody's grandmother in a flowy tunic (and I don't mean a hip youngish grandma either). LOL Tossed it in the donation box.16 -
I've been committed to logging and eating at a deficit for a month now (excluding a five-day break after I broke my collarbone). Usually I lose motivation after two weeks. I'm in it for the long haul, and I'm excited to keep going! Also just putting in the effort makes me feel better about myself.
oh, and I've been consistently hitting my protein and calcium goals for the last week or so!24 -
I can wear my wedding ring for the first time in 3 years!
That's awesome, congrats!8 -
Hmmm....running in the rain, turned a corner and a woman came out of an office and said "Dammit! If your running it means I'll need to run!" "The rain was my excuse!" I yelled back "Woo Hoo!" Motivate others with action......34

I bought a pair of shorts, they are neon orange! Oh, the nsv, they were in the LITTLE GIRLS section of Wal-Mart. The 10 year old section and they fit.. lmao! I was eyeing a outfit over there at work earlier today.. hmmm......7

Thank you so much for sharing your NSV's everyone, so inspiring!0

I know what you mean, My boyfriend, his mom, and I, have lost a total of 48 lbs total, in 4 weeks, this feeling of motivating others is very inspiring!7 -
Oooooooh, I love NSV threads! Congrats to all! :drinker:
Being in maintenance, NSVs are the only Vs I get. This one will sound strange, but it was a big, big deal for me: I skipped my workout this morning.
:noway:
Really. I tend to extremes in most everything, and that includes overtraining. Several months ago, I ignored all the warning signs from my body (and there were many!) and injured my lower back on a lift. I've had to add my activities back very gradually after a few weeks of total (maddening) rest. This past week or two, I felt like I'd finally broken through it all and I started going full-tilt again. And my lower back, which hasn't even niggled in weeks, started aching.
On Thursday, I powered through the ache to do a heavier-than-usual full-body strength workout, then booked it to a heavy bag class (think "kickboxing" mixed with interval training). This morning I planned to hit a double session in the studio. But I woke up with the back aching and various other parts howling at me.
I knew I shouldn't go. There were, uh, many warning signs. I got up, put on my workout clothes, and ate breakfast.
And then I went for a nice, long walk instead.
I don't know that I would have had another injury. I only know that the "active recovery" day felt great... I had a wonderful day and easily hit my macros within my net cals target... and, most importantly, I listened to my body and treated it well.28 -
My current go to belt is on its last hole. I could've punched a new hole in it but why do that when there are perfectly good belts to be shopped for. My go to places are second hand stores. Was at goodwill and found a ton of high quality belts. I ended up getting 4. Such a great find and won't be needing any belts anytime soon. Plenty of holes before I have to contemplate punching a hole or shopping.10

107 cycle rude from Cardiff to Tenby finished yesterday in winds gusting from the south and west up to 35mph!17
-
I wore my goal jeans yesterday and my engagement ring, the ring I've not been able to wear for a good 10 years, can't wait until my wedding ring fits again16

About a week ago I decided to get my belly button pierced--something I've been putting off for years until I was "skinny enough." My NSV was loving myself enough to decide to do it just for me, number goals aside. One more pound until I've lost 50 lbs from my highest weight and I'm really starting to love myself!17
-
My first NSV is that as of today I have NO MORE BINGO ARMS! AKA, nothing shimmys and shakes when I wave good bye or call Bingo
Second NSV is that I started dressing up again- I have been in a funk and not taking very much "me" time, so I decided to start getting back to the old me and hopefully the confidence will come back if I pretend its already there :drinker: :blushing:18 -
My monthly weigh in was disappointing on Friday, so instead I took progress pictures for a visual of how my body has changed since starting MFP. The top pics are from January but weight didn't start to change until I joined MFP at the end of February, so the bottom pics show about 2.5 months' progress (just under 5kg lost on scales but 7kg in total fat lost as I've gained some muscle).
Slowly but surely my waistline is being whittled down!!! Just thinking of how different this will look again in another 2 months' time!
NB - first time posting a pic so please bear with me if I have to edit this post a few times while trying to get it right...
