Biking 40 miles a week and doing it at 5 -5 1/2 mph... Still aiming to ride the bike at the same rate I use to run... The bike riding has led to another pant size smaller, even if my weight hasn't dropped as fast as I'd like. So now I'm looking forward to shopping in the "normal" size clothes rather than the plus sizes soon!21

Having to bunch up my yoga pants at the waist and tie off the excess fabric with a hair elastic to keep me from running or jumping out of them! It's time for me to invest in some new workout clothes soon!
I had to do this too! Except now even that won't work, so it's reallllly time for new pants.10 -
realizing my skinny jeans don't slide easily anymore over my calves and thighs (gainer)34

Not sure what NSV stands for, but I get the jist of it. My NSV was this Tues. Someone at work was leaving the dept. & they weren't going to be here on Fri., so a little impromptu party was thrown. There was a strawberry shortcake; the kind w/the custard cream layer w/strawberries in it, the whipped cream icing & strawberries on top - one of my favorites! There were also potato chips - another one of my downfalls, & soda (not a big fan, so that's a good thing.) I did not eat any of it. It was so hard standing there watching most everyone eat, while I was just sipping my water. If the party had been held on Fri. I would have partaken, but with very small portions. Let me tell you, it was well worth the sacrifice. When I stepped on the scale this morning & I had a 1.5 lb. weight loss. So very satisfying! And that is my NSV moment so far. (Someone post what NSV stands for, please.)45

I love reading these! Keep it up everyone :flowerforyou:
My latest NSV was the fact that after my cardio and strength workouts the other night, I spent twenty minutes doing gymnastic activity such as cartwheels, jumps, handsprings and roundhouses! It doesn't sound like much but I had a history of back problems that I have let stand as an excuse to not work out and not do things I love.....and after three weeks of careful workouts, I can now feel my back not being as tight and I can do these things I love again. I cannot wait to do more!22 -

Nikki, It stands for Non-Scale Victory, but like you said you kinda got it. Great job!6 -
I posted earlier but I had a better NSV on my lunch break. Today I wore a pair of red jeans to work in a 16...they were kind of baggy, but I thought it would be fine for Friday at work which is very casual and pretty active. They looked horrible after about 1 hr of wear. So when I went home on my lunch break, I grabbed the red jeans from my "will fit someday" section of the closet (a new thing for me). They're a size 12. I've only fit into a few of those so far, still mostly in 14's but that was pretty cool!48

Fitting in anything with only one X in the label :bigsmile:64

Congrats! I'm pretty close with 9.1 lbs. in 49 days. Rock on!21

Thank you!1 -
My NSV was wearing two tops this week that had previously been too tight for years! Pretty soon, I'll be shopping for smaller clothes
Love reading everybody's NSV! Happy Friday everyone!25 -
I have now officially lost 9.2lbs in 40 days!! I am very excited, and ready to keep working at it!
Congrats! I'm pretty close with 9.1 lbs. in 49 days. Rock on!5 -
I did my first unassisted full chin up last week. I was very excited as it's been a goal of mine for some time. It wasn't exactly pretty, but I made it up46
-
Most recent NSV is benching 120lbs 5x5 and I hate cardio ie running, jogging etc...but I walked 2miles yesterday in 30mins...in the rain by myself and my music, because I felt the need to do "something" physical...20
-
Being able to wear body con dresses and not looking like someone who shouldn't! Massive NSV with my muffin top!!26
-
I've had a couple recently.
-Being able to pull my "skinny" size 24 jeans up over my bum!! Still need to go a bit before I can button them up, but yay!!!
-Being able to wear my Dad's wristwatch - I couldn't clasp it 8 months ago.
-A shirt that I couldn't wear is now wearable but really tight. Progress!!57 -
I've had two people not recognise me this week, one stood there speechless with her mouth hanging open when I spoke to her
I finally fit into my uk size 10 goal trousers.49 -
Congrats to everyone who mentioned their NSVs. What an inspiring way to end the week.10
-
*** First most recent NSV is being able to wear UK size 22 clothes that didn't fit me for years (that's the drop from size 28 to 22 in 4 months!!!)
*** My second - some would say a bit "sad" NSV - is being able to paint my toe nails with NO struggle!47 -
1. One of the guys I work with told me I look "wicked healthy".
2. I rode my bicycle 150 miles in 2 days. (When I first started riding almost 2 years ago, I could barely make it 1 mile.)
DANG! 150 miles in 2 days! That's awesome! And here I was thinking my 18 miles this week was good.
I guess my NSV this week has been that I have been under my calorie intake levels for almost 2 weeks and haven't had to struggle that much to get under that. March and April weren't the best months for maintaining a deficit but now feel like I can get back at it again! Also, I am really getting into riding my bike! AND (although it is a scale thing) on May 1st I entered ONEderland for the first time in probably at least 15 years! So I am excited. :bigsmile:25 -
My most recent NSV is taking a selfie with my daughter and seeing dimples again! I have hated how I've looked for so long and I actually don't hate this picture and my dimples are back. Can't remember the last time I saw those, I know it was when a Bush was in office! Even the fact that I was willing to take a selfie is a NSV in itself. I really needed that motivation, too. Have been becoming complacent recently, so thank you God!
What's your recent NSV?
That is great! I hate taking full body pictures, but selfies of my face is okay with me! :blushing: LOL
My NSV is that I have finally started losing again! I lost 3lbs. This is after buying a food scale and weighing my food. IT WORKED!! So Happy!  :drinker:11 -
I am loving these NSVs!
I think it was when someone I hadn't seen in a year or so didn't recognize me. The giant grin and dropped jaw made me feel all warm and fuzzy. Apparently he was so impressed he called a bunch of our mutual friends to tell them how "hot" I looked.28 -
My friend who I think has the most AMAZING body told me she can tell I've been working out/that she's jealous. It's superficial but felt amazing.22
-
My fourteen year old daughter's friend asked, "So where is the pic of you and your mom?" after seeing a pic of us. He thought I was her older sister! Okay, maybe not weight or size related but it still made me feel SWEET!24
-
So maybe not as big of a deal as some....but no more plus sizes for me and 4 lbs from Onederland where I have not been since probably freshman year of high school.39
-
I had to have my wedding ring resized from a 9 to a 7.29
-
Today, I Ran my longest run ever-12 miles. A year ago, I couldn't run for a minute!50
-
Found out last night that my body fat percentage (from January 47%) is now at 35%44
-
Yesterday....neighbor down the street stopping me to tell me how good I look and how much I have lost. But I always feel the need to say "but I have more to go...."22
