My towel wrapped around me with no flesh poking out last night...I actually cried when I saw it in the mirror110

First I love these threads so much inspiration from amazing health benefits ( meds), to the everyday temptation victories, meeting very long term goals ( pull up) and the clothing victories that I know have given me such feeling of satisfaction.
Mine getting from Prasarita Padottanasana into tri pod headstand and back in yoga class last night with some semblance of gracefullness. Particularly since my 12 year old track star daughter was with me and not able to pull off the headstand yet - more fear than physical ability I suspect. But it feels good to be a positive role model and still be able to take her on a few things for a little while longer.30 -
This has been a good week for me. Tuesday, my endo actually reduced my thyroid medication for the first time ever, and today I'm wearing a dress that a year ago I couldn't get past my thighs when I tried to step into it.45

Mine is that I have a brand new muscle.
YES!!! Every week a new one grows for me, it sounds so bizarre but I find myself rubbing my arms and legs constantly feeling the new muscles because I've never had them before!! Nice job when you can notice them growing, means you're working hard!!25 -
It's been a pleasure and an inspiration reading all of these. I want to quote each one and say "Well done!"
This morning I found I am unbelievably down four pants sizes. I bought those pants as a far away goal and I am astonished it is done; and now having seen your successes, I am setting new goals of doing a pull-upand working off my cellulite :drinker:

I wore my "skinny jeans" to work today. The first time in a year!37

I was able to fit into my size 11/12 jeans that I haven't been able to wear for a few years. Funny, when I wore them last, I was 10 lbs lighter. Love those barbells with weights!29

Thank you for posting the meaning of "NSV".5

Buying new underwear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My "old" underwear, which were only a few months old, no longer stayed up. I took my dogs for a walk last week or so, and my undies were only held up by the crotch of my sweatpants. And... my sweatpants were too big too. To get the crotch in the "right" spot, I had to pull them up to under the girls. Yeah, it was interesting. I ended up having to hold the dogs' leashes in one hand and my pants in the other hand. (Holding the pants up, not actually carrying my pants.)
Anyhow, so now I have a huge stash of Victoria's Secret underwear that are too big. RATS. The good news is that I've found that I really like the Fruit of the Loom boy shorts. So, they cost much less and are actually more comfortable. I guess that's a win-win situation.69 -
Biking 40 miles a week and doing it at 5 -5 1/2 mph... Still aiming to ride the bike at the same rate I use to run... The bike riding has led to another pant size smaller, even if my weight hasn't dropped as fast as I'd like. So now I'm looking forward to shopping in the "normal" size clothes rather than the plus sizes soon!20

Having to bunch up my yoga pants at the waist and tie off the excess fabric with a hair elastic to keep me from running or jumping out of them! It's time for me to invest in some new workout clothes soon!
I had to do this too! Except now even that won't work, so it's reallllly time for new pants.9 -
realizing my skinny jeans don't slide easily anymore over my calves and thighs (gainer)31

Not sure what NSV stands for, but I get the jist of it. My NSV was this Tues. Someone at work was leaving the dept. & they weren't going to be here on Fri., so a little impromptu party was thrown. There was a strawberry shortcake; the kind w/the custard cream layer w/strawberries in it, the whipped cream icing & strawberries on top - one of my favorites! There were also potato chips - another one of my downfalls, & soda (not a big fan, so that's a good thing.) I did not eat any of it. It was so hard standing there watching most everyone eat, while I was just sipping my water. If the party had been held on Fri. I would have partaken, but with very small portions. Let me tell you, it was well worth the sacrifice. When I stepped on the scale this morning & I had a 1.5 lb. weight loss. So very satisfying! And that is my NSV moment so far. (Someone post what NSV stands for, please.)43

I love reading these!
Keep it up everyone :flowerforyou:
My latest NSV was the fact that after my cardio and strength workouts the other night, I spent twenty minutes doing gymnastic activity such as cartwheels, jumps, handsprings and roundhouses! It doesn't sound like much but I had a history of back problems that I have let stand as an excuse to not work out and not do things I love.....and after three weeks of careful workouts, I can now feel my back not being as tight and I can do these things I love again. I cannot wait to do more!22 -

Nikki, It stands for Non-Scale Victory, but like you said you kinda got it. Great job!6 -
I posted earlier but I had a better NSV on my lunch break. Today I wore a pair of red jeans to work in a 16...they were kind of baggy, but I thought it would be fine for Friday at work which is very casual and pretty active. They looked horrible after about 1 hr of wear. So when I went home on my lunch break, I grabbed the red jeans from my "will fit someday" section of the closet (a new thing for me). They're a size 12. I've only fit into a few of those so far, still mostly in 14's but that was pretty cool!46
