I have never had a song make me cry before but "what a wonderful world" by Louis Armstrong definitely is emotional... played it at my great grandmothers funeral. (IZ also covered that song).

    this one gets me too

The Christmas shoe song. Don't know the name or the artist but its about a boy that is trying to buy a pair of shoes... UNCONTROLLABLE sobbing every time

Also, "Where were you when the world stopped turning" by Alan Jackson.

    The Christmas Shoes by Newsong

There are really no songs that make me cry every time I hear them.

However, the song "Breathe Me" by Sia comes close for me. The finale to my all-time favorite show, Six Feet Under, involved that song (which is a beautiful song in itself) and was extremely sad/emotional so when I hear that song, if I am in a thoughtful state of mind it gets me pretty close to tears.

Another one for me is "Marry the Night" by Lady Gaga, because it reminds me of a time in my life 2-3 years ago that was very emotionally raw (depressed, in an unhappy marriage, and seeing my home & lots of my favorite places destroyed by a tornado).

Someone Like You by Adele. This song was huge on the radio when my fiancee died of an unexpected heart attack in 2011. The lines

"I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited
    But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it.
I had hoped you'd see my face and that you'd be reminded
That for me it isn't over."

absolutely undo me. Because I kept feeling exactly like that, like for me it wasn't over. I know it's a breakup song, but this one speaks to me differently.

Also, Adele is so talented that she makes me cry in envy anyway.

Me too! Especially when it's on the iPod while I'm on elliptical machine at gym. So embarrassing.

"Who Made the Moon" - Little River Band always gets me a little choked up. It's a little known song that pays tribute to one of the band member's 10 year old daughter who was killed in an auto accident. If you search on you tube for Wayne Nelson talking about losing his daughter. Wayne Nelson says the band can't perform it live because of the memories it brings. Worth a look imo

I don't cry (it's just something in my eye) but I think of my daughters and feel a little emotional.
