Great Substitutes that leave you satisfied

I love food. I am a self professed "Foodie!". I am trying to stay within my calorie target so I realize that I need to make substitutions. I don't want to feel like I am missing out on something good.
Last week I tried salsa on my egg whites. This was a great discovery!! Mixing it up to keep it healthy.
What substitutions have you made that work for you and still leave you satisfied?
Here are some of mine:
beef burger = Turkey burger or veggie burger with lots of yummy toppings (relish, lettuce, tomatoes, etc.)
Sausages = Turkey sausage
Chips with dip = garlic hummus with celery and/or a few small pretzels for dipping
3PM snack attack at work which can result in "eminent disaster" = granola bar with iced coffee, skim milk and 2 equals
I could list many but I want to read your suggestions. I am looking find some new ideas. I am still looking for a great tasting low calorie maple syrup substitute.

Sour Cream = Greek yogurt (tastes so good in tacos)
Taco shells/Tortilla wraps = Romaine lettuce leaves
Spaghetti = Zuchinni Spirals (delish with meatballs, takes on the flavor of any sauce)0 -
You could just buy some low fat beef burger... Get the 94% stuff and it's about the same as turkey.
For maple syrup, honestly I just bought sugar free stuff (the Wegmans brand). I can't tell the difference, but I never drowned my pancakes in syrup either.0 -
Spaghetti squash instead of pasta. Love love love this!0

I try to quench my sweets cravings with fruit.
Over the past few days I have managed to replace soda and sugary drinks with water or those juice packets you put in water bottles.
Umm Hummus is one of my favorite snacks...usually with carrots.0 -
I don't think I have done any substitutions. I still eat beef burgers (which are NOT that high in calories), I eat whole eggs (because all the nutrition is in the yolk), real butter and syrup because it tastes better and don't have odd chemicals, pasta stays because nothing else is the same...
For me, subbing something for what I WANT does not work. I do use chicken sausage instead of pork, but that has to do with needing to avoid other things that are in most pork sausages that make me ill.0 -

Same, if I'm craving it, typically it won't work. Except those Sweet Freedom ice creams, I find them delicious for the calories when I crave ice cream, and the Jello sugar free chocolate mousse temptations (I find the puddings disgusting but the mousses work great if I crave chocolate mousse).0 -
Plain greek yogurt in place of sour cream? Im gonna try that!! Thanks.0
