Forever Living..... Clean9 detox.... Does it really work?

Just an observation from a friend on FB who I don't see very often but has been come a distributor for Forever Living and now only posts about what she has to sell.
She's been on the Clean9 and has today lost 14lbs. Will she put the weight back on? It doesn't seem natural to me, or feel that she's had enjoyment in doing so, just that she's lost 14lbs!
Here's a couple of extracts from her page.
*** Just did my day 3 weigh in & measurements. Since Monday I've lost a total of 8.5lb & 10.5 inches. I obviously need this detox!! Bring on the next 7 days!
*** Clean9 Detox day 4 ***
Almost half way through!! & wow it's flown by! Today has just been like any other day, really. Apart from not feeling hungry once! don't feel like I'm detoxing, or even dieting at all. Previously i would hit a wall around 11am & want to scoff anything I can get my hands on. But instead I had my breakfast shake, again I was too full after my 2 small pieces of brown toast I had at 8am. I had my dinner shake at around 2.30pm, & obviously still taking the garcinia & bee pollen. I truly believe these pay a bug part. At first I thought the ethics of the Clean9 would have been impossible personally for Me - But now I have totally learned what "hungry" is & that I don't need half of the stuff I used to snack on during the day. I've also learned about portion control. Now I know when to stop eating & when I'm properly full. - Not bursting at the seams "stick a fork in me, I'm done" full. I found it hard to believe when so many of my Clean9 clients told me they were never hungry doing this. But now I totally agree! After my sweet potato, chicken breast & veg I am done!! By now is usually be hunting in the "nicey cupboard" but I honestly couldn't think of anything worse xxx Bring on day 5!!!
*** Clean9 detox Day 5 ***
it's Friday!! Usually much vino would have been consumed by now but not for me & I don't even fancy it! This is unheard of!!! Another easy day. Much the same as yesterday. Although I did get hungry in work around 2pm so used 52 of my 600 calories on a cuppa soup. Did the trick! Another late tea though. 9pm which I know is a bad thing! Got drenched in soccer training, had a bath, then had My meal. Hoping all these late meals won't do much harm! Although at least I did much more than my recommended 20 mins of exercise in soccer tonight. Weigh in & measurements tomorrow.
Question is, will the weight go straight back on? It's only been 9 days. What's the maintenance plan?

I don't know... But I'd sure like for you to tell me in 3 to 6 months.. Could you please..
But my guess is no... But I wish her luck...0 -
Shes welcomed to rub my Genie Bottle for luck on that one. She might need some extra luck.0

Your friend did not lose 14lbs of fat in 9 days. She would have to have cut 49000 calories from her diet. Didn't happen. Most of it is water weight, and yes, she will gain it back when she starts eating a normal amount of food.0

I'm just agast..... I've been biting my tongue as I've been wanting to tell her that it won't work....0

Yep! .....that really puts things in perspective0 -
It works as I have used it. These are my findings:
1. It is not water weight lost because with your Aloe Vera being drunk and with Bee Pollen tablets, it makes you thirsty. I went to the toilet more often than I usually do, but was drinking water as my water content increased from 49.4 to 51.3 in nine days. A month after clean9, It has only gone down to 50.8 considering I do not take water very often.
2. Though I lost 10.5 pounds in 9 days, the product is not a weight loss product but a cleansing product which clears your body of toxins and creates a platform to build on to reduce weight further.
3. A month after Clean9 with the Christmas holidays and with no exercise, I only gained back 4 pounds. Because it takes time to build toxins in the body. Your liver breaks down the toxins but their efficiency depends on your stress levels and amount of rest you give your body. So with an exercise regime and good eating habits, you can loose further weight.
4. After the cleansing you feel energetic and lighter, which I haven't felt in some years even after being at the gym and loads of exercise programmes. It generally attacks internal/organ fat as well as making your intestines more effective to consume and breakdown food, instead of wasting the food and storing them up in your system.
Picture this: you might pick up a dirty mug with dried sticky bits and decide to wash it. Even if you pass water through the mug the dried sticky bits will still be stuck on the mug. So the rigourous action of getting a scrub brush with a washing liquid will help resolve this problem. So it is with the Clean9 it does a rigorous clean through the system, in the process the overall weight of the mug reduces becasue the sticky bits have been removed.
I was also sceptical but after I have tried it, I can see it works. It is no harm at all, just make sure you are not breast feeding and no other medical issues before you embark on a process. Have a nice day1 -
I lost 7lb when I did my clean9.. and in the months that followed I went on to lose the stone I have struggled to shift for most of my adult life. I have PCOS and its difficult to lose belly weight when you have insulin resistance. What the clean9 did for me was make me shift my bad eating habits. control my cravings. lose my sugar and refined carb desire. It was a great kick start to getting myself to a happy body weight. I have always exercised and eaten a healthy diet but having a clean 9 days was what was needed to carry on in the right direction. I did mine in September and I am still a stone down from my healthier approach to food.0

First of all, Clean9 is a detox program. You will lose a lot of toxins weght.
And it realy works. I was sceptical at first, but as I followed the programe I had lost 5 kg.
You do not lose water weight as they make you to drink at least 2 liters a day.
After 3 months with Clean9, myfitnesspal and P90X3, I have lost 11 kg and I fabulous
Do whatever works for you as long it does not affect your health.
Since that person is your friend, be sure that she does not want to harm you and she wants the best for you.
Wish you well and have a nice day!1 -
detox's do nothing in terms of fat loss or "removing toxins". if humans needed toxins removed by an external source we would have died out long ago. the only effects are temporary/placebo
all these people saying its not water weight because i drank x amount of water... just drinking MORE water can make you lose water weight, and the more you drink, the faster it is processed (to an extent)
also your probably clearing out your digestive tract to a degree (which doesnt really have any benefits unless you have some sort of medical condition) which would cause you to lose a few pounds also.
but if it gives you peace of mind then i suppose there is no harm0 -

Exactly. Your body already has an awesome device for "detoxifying" you. It's your liver. If your skin isn't turning yellow, just assume it's still chugging along just fine.
There are no real tricks to fat loss. It's really as simple as eat less and move more.0
