I'm far from an amateur when it comes to dating - I have a first date multiple times a week... my problem is I never stay in touch with anyone after two weeks so the activities in dating are basically not as creative as they should be looking long term...

It sounds like you have far bigger problems than what you should do on a date.

Get the book "The Five Love languages for Singles". Read it first. There is a quiz in the book to help you to learn a persons Love Language. To piggy back off what someone said earlier both of you take the quiz together to learn one anothers Love Language. Maybe plan a quiet activity together and incorporate the quiz. Maybe a day in the park with a picnic basket. Once you know her Love Language you can plan better in the future for what will really impress her. This one gesture in itself will win you mega brownie points with her. Add me as a friend I would love to hear how it goes. Wish you the best. The book is an easy read and worth its weight in gold

    ordered the book.

I take advice seriously so thanks!

I was going to say a picnic can be a fun time with each other. You can make it as sophisticated or relaxed as you want. Somewhere you can go to talk and learn about each other is a good start. A local park, museum, or botanical garden are good places to visit. If there are any beaches around, midnight strolls are awesome.

I just met a lady from Brazil :blushing: and I'm smitten and I need to get more creative in dating, and I need to come up with some dating idea's that are inexpensive, and normal relationship building.

    Take her to Bloomingdale's.

Place where I live does Friday night painting classes. Everybody paints the same thing and they come out looking pretty nice. For Valentines, they did a couples night where your two canvases were the left and right half of the same scene.

Canoeing. Two of you in a small boat with nowhere else to go. Have to work together to get where you want.

I'd advise against anything where you compete against each other, but encourage anything where you compete as a team. Pairs bowling competition? Doubles tennis?

Play scramble golf. You both tee off, but you both take your next shot from the best of the two first shots. So, if you outdrive her, you both shoot from your drive. If she chips in closer, pick up your ball and drop it next to hers.

Plant something together—A tree, flowers, vegetables… anything at all!

    Tie-Dye T-Shirts together.

...but I wasn't about to miss this thread because it is almost certainly going places.

maybe don't make the girl feel bad by sitting across from her eating just a salad.
if I went to dinner with a dude and he ate a side salad I'd cry

I don't care if he does have an adonis body and baby arm dingledoodler

Do you have a drive in movie theater nearby?
That is my "go to" date night with my wife (15 years last month) and we always enjoy it.
Bring a few beach chairs and your drinks of choice in a cooler along with some food.

I think there is a meteor shower coming up, look it up and see if its visible from your location and pack a blanket and picnic dinner and watch the stars fall. :)

For the record I preemptively stopped dating all the others immediately after our first date prior to her even requesting to be exclusive. :glasses: - I'm sincerely trying to be a better man.
