Can somebody please help me with fat content?

I am currently on day 4 of MyFitnessPal and although I am kept very motivated by the calorie counting, I have previously only counted fat content!
According to my goals, I should be eating '40' in the fat content column, does anyone know if this is in grams? I had always only allowed myself 70g (20g saturated) of fat in my previous diets so just wanted to get an idea of how close to that I am.
Thank you and good luck with your healthier lifestyles :-)

Hi
Yes as far as I know all the readings for fat, protein etc are in g. You can tweak them though, t suit your diet. Hope this helps!0 -
It's total grammes of fat.
70g is the normal recommended daily intake you see on food packets, which is the maximum anyone should be having to not put on weight, but if you're trying to loose body fat it's 40g.
Just joined too, and finding the food diary really useful in recording everyting I eat, as it's amazing how little things you pretend you haven't had add up!
