working out

I have been doing really good on my eating habits but working out is hard for me like i said in my other post, but the question i have is how many times should you work out? i really want to everyday but my body is very sore after 3 and today i woke up with a nasty cold so i decided to rest today but now i am beating myself up thinking i failed! grrr
