How do you spread out your carbs throughout the day?

I'm eating at a 40-20-40 (protein-carb-fat) percent in my daily diet in order to gain muscle. How do you spread out your carbs through the day?

I eat more carbs than you but I like to go heavy protein in morning with some whole grain. Lots of eggs, an avocado, and maybe a slice of whole grain toast. I eat carbs at every meal, but probably eat the most at lunch or pre or post work out.

I'm even lower-carb (ketogenic to control diabetes) and I target the majority of my carbohydrate intake to be just-prior-to my exercise. That way I have the circulating glucose and glycogen availability to power through heavy-lifting or other anaerobic workouts.

If I am going to the gym it is usually after work. I get most of my carbs in breakfast and lunch. Sometimes a pre workout snack. Dinner is more protein then other meals (although I do eat some with all meals) since I do t require as much energy and the protein aids in recovery. That is what my nutritionist told me to do but I am having the added benefit of sleeping better also.

I don't. I eat a big old baked potato every day. :D Yum.

That's a good question. I find that I usually consume most of my carbs between lunch and dinner. I find that I can't eat too much before my workout and I tend to workout either very early in the morning or just before dinner. I average about 40 - 60 grams of carbs a day.
