LIP!

Yes, it happened. My almost 21 month old son was sitting on my lap with a toy and he flung it backwards and it hit me in the face (mainly my upper lip). I saw stars and my eyes watered!

So, now I have a nice split, swollen and bruised upper lip. Lovely! And yes, it hurt!!! :grumble:

I guess ONE bright-side of this is......normally my lower lip is much fuller than my upper lip......but as of this moment..........they match!! :laugh: :laugh:

SIGH! The joys of motherhood!!!! :sad:

    Aaaaaaaaaaahhhh sorry Tam!! I am always so scared they are going to knock my teeth out when they swing back those little (HARD!!!) heads of theirs!! Yeah, the joys of motherhood!!

    Yes, I don't really wear earrings myself! Just the way his hands flail sometimes and he grabs ahold of me. I'm way too skeered!!!! Poor you!

    A friend of mine is a nurse. You should be glad it was your lip, because she says they see MANY broken noses from little ones doing the fling thing!

    Omg, I have heard my nose creak a bit with his noggin hitting it! I did learn (from my days as a nanny) to bob and weave when holding a child!

    Poor women! I can't even imagine!

    My 3 yr old jumped up and accidentally hit his daddy in the nose last night....
    Hubby's nose made a big cracking noise and swelled up fast....lol =o////

    Along as you can eat cake.

    My youngest once poked me in the eye and scratched my retina at about that age. I have been injured in so many different ways in my life and nothing compared to this pain.

    LOL!! I remember the morning of my sons 1st bday, I had him sitting on my lap facing me and he decided to gouge my eyes. Later that day, after a trip to the ER I am sitting at his bday party with grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, with a patch on my eye, my eyes kept running, so all the bday pics some rude people took of me, makes it look like I am crying!!!
