I'm still not sure how many calories I should be eating

Right now, my max calories is 1650 and I'm doing the insanity workout in which I am burning up to around 400 calories (unless I do pure cardio and cardio abs where I burn around 700) at least according to this site: http://insanitycalories.com/. I'm 5'6" and I weigh 125 pounds. I'm not sure if this is too much or not enough. Is there a guide to help me? I don't want to keep doing trials and errors for the next few months.

    http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/

That will give you both your BMR and your TDEE. It also explains what TDEE means, if you don't know. If you take your TDEE and subtract 20%, you would have a good idea of the calories you should take in. Example: If your TDEE is 2500, 20% would be 500, so you'd eat 2000 calories a day. :)

I'm getting on scooby's site that you' have a tdee of 2054. that's with a '3 - 5 hrs a week of moderate exercise' level. If I go up to '5 - 6 hrs week strenuous exercise' I get 2329cals/day.

Therefore it becomes a question of how much weight you are trying to lose. At 125lb I doubt you should try for any more than 1/4 to 1/2lb a week.

How fast are you trying to lose weight?
