Upset tummy

Hi.
So I have been logging for a week and a half now. Eating much smaller portions and so far it hasn't been terribly difficult. I'm seeing some nice results. I still need to figure out a workout routine that I can stick to. I'm thinking of 30d shred...not sure yet.
Anyway, last night I had some salmon with salad and toast and got a seriously upset stomach. Everything was fresh and made at home, I just don't understand what I could have screwed up. Is it possible to mess up my stomach by doing small meals for a while and then eating a larger one? I've opened my diary.
thanks.

What was the date on the salmon? Is it possible that it may have started to spoil?0

Nope, it's not possible to mess up your stomach with small meals. It's more likely that something was wrong with the food. Could you have cross-contaminated by touching your salad stuff with a hand, knife, whatever that touched the raw fish? Could you have cut veggies on the same cutting board without thoroughly washing it? Could the fish have been undercooked or not as fresh as you hoped? Could the veggies or the dressing have been old? Were all of the veggies washed thoroughly?
ETA: You could also have picked up a stomach bug unrelated to the food.0 -
I bought the fish yesterday and cooked it same day. My husband ate the same thing as me and is ok. Oh well, I do feel way better this morning.0

A little tummy upset can be cause by a whole host of reasons from increasing fiber too quickly, to eating something that was too spicy, to taking new vitamins, to even your emotional state. I wouldn't worry about it unless it goes on for a period of time in which case you'd want to see a doctor.0
