Thank you for this! Good pizza is hard to find where I live, I'm going to try making my own!

I usually buy my dough from Fresh Market/Trader Joes/Whole Foods. The one time I made my own, it was way too sticky. I got frustrated!

I also don't make "normal" pizza. I use ricotta or an olive oil base because I can't have tomatoes. I love using different toppings. Roasted garlic, sauteed onions, roasted red peppers, kale, chicken, leftover steak, and other things. Eggplant is really good too.

i'll be the odd one out and say i'm not a big fan of pizza! not a big fan of italian flavors and seasonings in general (especially oregano, blech!) this makes things somewhat difficult, seeing as i live in italy. :P

This thread made me make a pizza for lunch (I use some prepared thin crust though). Bbq chicken. Yum.

    My recipe:

    1. Do a search for coupon codes.
    2. Find the best coupon code.
    3. Order pizza with coupon code.
    4. Eat the pizza in reasonable portions.
    5. ...
    6. Profit.

Always in for Pizza... :drinker: but I tend to leave it to the professionals, nothing like getting a pizza from our local pizza joint that has been cooking on the same hearth stones for over 45 years... You just can not beat it... Ok I think I have now decided what is for supper this evening... lol

Pizza is such a broad term. It's like asking if I love / hate soup. I love a good pizza, but I've had pizzas that I didn't like too. It all depends on the sauce and the toppings.

My pizza is gluten free (celiac) but the crust isn't the exciting part! Try Mozzarella cheese, yellow cheese, parm cheese and at least one other cheese. Top it with pepperoni, sausage, Canadian bacon and regular bacon. Sprinkle the whole she-bang with garlic salt! Mmmmmmmm.... My crazy DH also likes shiracha (sp?) on his. It's a mild hot sauce.

I have a questionably high love for pizza, bordering inappropriate. I like to talk dirty to it as I prepare to indulge in the joy of it's mealty cheese, juicy meats, and delectable vegetables...

I love pizza! I've made it at home a few times and I just buy the pizza dough in the cold section, sauce in a jar (not a can), add your fave toppings. Yummy!

It's easy for me to pass up, so I do. I'm not crazy about food that's heavy or greasy. There was a place in NJ where I used to live that used to make a thin-crust pizza baked in a brick oven, and I'd get a slice loaded with veggies. The stuffed-crust with double cheese and double sausage? You can have it.
