Walking Question?

I am on a 1200 calorie diet and currently I am only able to walk for like 10 to 15 mins only. Will this slow my weight loss process down and is this too little of a walk?

Anything more than what you are currently doing will help your weight loss. When you can do more, then you do more. Until then, you keep up with what you're doing.

Yes, the more you do the more the weight comes off (assuming you take in fewer calories than you burn), but understand that you need to work up to full-on working out.

Every bit counts. The key thing is to keep it up long enough to get the heart rate up.

If you can only do 15 minutes at a time, try doing a morning walk and evening walk for a total of 30.

I started walking and from the reading and googling I did, I decided that at least 10 mins at a time should be beneficial for me, so 10-15 mins should help, as you keep walking you will find you can go longer, or at least I did, need to get your muscles used to being used :) my goal was 30 mins a day at first of just walking for the sake of walking and I tried to do it in intervals of at least 10 mins at a time, so as someone suggested you might try a walk early and later in the day, 6 weeks from starting walking I've been losing about 1/2 a lb a day, which will slow down as I shrink, I tried 1200 cals myself a few days and just wasn''t sustainable for me so don't get all bent if you eat a little more, we didn't get so big in a week, we won't shrink that fast either :) try getting decent shoes and maybe wear extra socks, my feet were tender and had to toughen up.
when I first started I'd time myself for 100 steps and each day I'd try to average a little better, so find something you can measure and try and better it, it takes some of the drudgery out of it, or did for me. Slow and steady wins the race, I'm 6 weeks into getting my activity level up and 30 days into using mfp, hang in there you can do it. Just one step in front of the other :)
