What is your favorite snack to get you thru the day?

I was just wondering what everyone enjoys as a healthy snack that gets you thru between breakfast/ lunch and lunch/dinner, for me my go to is almonds... ususally 10 will get me to the next meal, but I'd like some variety, so please let me know what you enjoy.

celery and carrots with ONE tablespoon of peanut butter.

just gotta measure the peanut butter because its got loads of cals and fat for such small amounts.

my other go to is edamame with sea salt I get the prepacked steambags from Costco already portioned out and very very filling plus it keeps you enternained for a while

Counting out ten almonds would make me very sad and very hungry. Lately I've been getting a McDonald's ice cream cone if I'm out and about for a snack. 170 calories and surprisingly filling. Fits into my calories and macros.

I actually don't snack very often because I like having room for bigger meals, especially dinner. When I just can't make it through I usually have BBQ crispy mini rice cakes, a piece of fruit or sometimes a small Tim hortons fruit smoothie. Before bed I like cottage cheese.

It's almonds for me too! :D I crave variety myself, but can't help it if there are almonds (and I eat them raw and unseasoned)- I've suddenly become addicted to them. They're so delicious and actually really filling for me. Though I will munch on a honeycrisp apple if we have them!

Wasabi & soy almonds. But man, they are addictive. Beef jerky, cheese. I like the pre-sliced Gouda they have at my local Kroger. Pepperoni slices. String cheese. Hm. Pickles. Pickled eggs. I can't think of anything else.

I was waiting for someone to mention almonds;-) IMO a handful of almonds is highly calorific and completely unsatisfying - I have no intention of keeping a tin of almonds in my handbag.

I have the same afternoon snack every day M-F at around 3PM. A Dannon Light & Fit Greek yogurt, light string cheese, and a hard-boiled egg. Yummy protein awesomeness.

My trainer has told me I must have two snacks each day... something about not going too long without eating... I have been eating fruits and veggies for my snacks. Plums are just 35 calories... carrot sticks are really good also... or I may grab a protein bar.. Special K has a really yummy dark chocolate granola one that is just 110 calories...

My favorite just before dinner is dried mangoes. They are sweet and chewy, just enough to keep me from tasting while I'm cooking.

I snack 2 or 3 times a day. I am relearning to eat the "right" portions, and small, often "mini meals" works well for me during the day. Depending on my nutritional or hunger needs, I've been grabbing a 1/2 c Greek yogurt or beans (I totally made an enormous batch this week, gotta eat 'em up, lol). If I need something "substantial" and sweet, I make a giant "iced coffee": one Slim Fast shake (I have a bunch hanging around), ice and cold coffee. Blend and enjoy. I concur that almonds would never "work" for me. Stopping at 10 nuts won't cut it for me (for now).

About 3/4cup of Oikos Vanilla Greek yogurt mixed with a tablespoon of creamy peanut butter. I could live on the stuff.
