Marathon Boredom Fighting Tips?

HI! I'm running my 2nd marathon tomorrow and am looking for any ideas or advice to prevent boredom. What do you think about when you run such a long distance? Any mind games you play?

Thanks!

You should probably post this in the long distance runners group section too. Lots of runners there that may have some good tips for you as well.

I've recently gotten away from needing this, but I use to use Audible.com a lot with long runs-- you can get quite a bit of an audio book listened to on a long run!

Skip it, stay home and play Call of Duty instead. That cures my running boredom every single time

I play "awkward pickup lines to the cute girls." It worked once actually.

Strike when they are weak. Solid plan.

You never did call me though.

Or a guy that wears the marathon's shirt on race day. Never trust them.

Bahaha, this totally made me crack up. I am adding this to my "runner's talk":
    - Corral C is where it's at. Corral B runs too fast to talk and Corral C wears tutus and talks too much
    - Never trust a guy who wears the marathon's shirt on race day
    - You don't want a Corral C dude hitting on you...

She meant to say that a corral A/B guy running in C is ok :)
