Are there exercises or machines that can take the place of squats, dead lifts and lunges? Really want to start lifting but with some orthopedic limitations.

that's a really specific question- nothing really truly replaces those things- if you have medical limitations seaking out a qualified physical therapy sports medicine type person would be your best bet- the answers you will get here will a bit limited.

    Hi there,
I recommend MaxWorkouts. It offers a 90 days program to start with. It's short, intense, complete, and really gets you fit. Included in the pack is nutritional advises. I'm happy about both the program, it's logic, and the results. Check it out!

I started with Chalean Extreme (loved it) then moved on to free weights at the gym. I do a three-day split, because I like to keep a couple days of cardio, as well. :-)

Lifting 1: (Butt, Hammies, Back, and Biceps - this day kills me so I like to get it over with early in the week!)
    Deadlift
    Leg Curl
    Calf Press
    Lat Pulldowns
    Dumbbell Rows
    Hyperextensions
    Bicep Curls

    Lifting 2: (Chest, Shoulders, Tris)
    Bench Press
    Incline Fly
    Lateral Raise
    Front Raise
    Tricep Kickbacks

    Lifting 3: (Quads and Abs)
    RFESS
    Leg Extensions
    Leg Press
    Ab Wheel, or
various weighted ab crap (I hate doing abs)

NROL4W. Stage 4. Really like that I can modify the lifts to use dumbbells at home. Love the results.
