Goal Achieved But Can't Stop

Hello Folks,
first of all I'd like to introduce my self, my name is Mostafa and I'm 32 years old. 5.9' (175 cm). / 141 lbs (64.3 kgs).
18 months ago I was 308 lbs (140 kgs) and I was on that weight for the past 15. suddenly I decided to do a diet and kept going on hard diet for 4 months without any work out. then started to spend 30 minutes/day on an orbitrak that I bought 1 year ago. but now I spend 60 minutes a day, 80 various push up moves and 10 minutes aerobics per day. 7 day a week. also I walk the average of 6 miles per day. by now I lost 167 lbs (almost 76 kgs) in 18 months. I know my BMI is good which is 20.9 according to my age and height. also my Body Fat Percentage is 13.5% which is good is well. BUT!!! I became so obsessed about being skinny and now trying to reach out a goal weight that's almost impossible and dangerous to my health. my current goal weight is 110 lbs (50 kgs) and I'm trying to loose 3.3 lbs per week which is something I used to do when I had excess fat but not now. everybody around me is telling me what I'm doing is wrong including my father which he is a doctor. but I won't listen. I have a goal and I must achieve it. I'm on a 1200 cal/day diet \ for the past 3 months till yesterday and because my body stopped responding and stopped losing weight for the past week and the 3 weeks before was so hard to drop weight as well. I went searching and reading trough the web and find so many results that made me so so so confused. according to my BMR some and my goal weight and goal time some say I have to keep going on my 1200 cal/day diet and some say I have to consume at least 1800 cal/day so I won't stop or slow my metabolism. I need your help guys, please. which way should I go?

thanks.

You need help. 50kg is dangerously low for someone of your height. You seem to have developed an unhealthy attitude to food and weight loss. Please go and get professional help, and quickly before you do yourself some serious damage.
    Best wishes.

It might be helpful to talk to your doctor. I know you said you've talked to your father, who is a doctor, but it might be more useful to talk to someone you don't have an emotional connection to. I can see how it might be easy to dismiss the advice of your dad, whether he is a doctor or not, rather than a doctor you have a professional relationship with. Even if the doctor doesn't give you any medical advice that helps, he/she can probably signpost you to someone who handles eating disorders like the one you seem to have developed.
  • It actually sounds like you are beyond needing to see a doctor. I would recommend seeking a therapist & a nutritionist. Right now you have a very unhealthy mindset towards weight & food and it's okay to need help to change the way you think about these things. Honestly, to me, it sounds like you have developed an eating disorder and if you don't get help now it will continue to progress. Eating disorders end in one of two ways: either you get better (which means eating more & being a healthy weight, not "skinny") or you stay sick, work your body into the ground, and die because your organs can no longer take the abuse. Please seek help.

You are a 32 year old MALE 5'9 and 141 lbs that is already a low weight! I don't think your concern should be to become "skinny". If you are not comfortable with your body maybe you should ditch all this cardio and start lifting weights and making muscles and eating more than 1800 calories and bulking so you would look strong and fit and not unhealthy and weak.

You have distorted body image of your body and this is normal after losing all this weight but you are heading in the wrong direction. You already hit your goal weight now build your goal "healthy and fit" body
  • maybe I have the slowest metabolism you ever seen. yesterday I decided to have a good meal outside my diet and it's a diet meal cause it's fat, salt, oil and sauces free. my meal was:
3 X toasted whole wheat bread (138 cals total)
    1 X skimmed yoghurt 170g (76 cals total)
    1 X white beans & tomato (home cocked) 450g (450 cals total)
1 X cup of green salad (18 cals total)
1 X cup of home made carrot juice (94 cals total)
    3 X dried dates (69 cals total)

this morning I ended up gaining 3.3 lbs over my yesterdays weight. I know it's weird and some will say it's impossible but this what happens to me when I eat what I want even if it's for diet.

the reason I posted in this forum is to get an accurate answer regarding my BMR minus the right percentage according to my daily activity. my question was it it 1200 cal/day or 1800 cals/day. my question never was for any medical or psychological advices. so would somebody please answer me how much cals do I have to consume everyday? and to be accurate as much as possible?

    thanks.
