Hmmm, sounds good! I'm not a fan of ketchup, wonder if just chopped tomatos or pasatta would work?0

do you think you could sub agave for honey?
(not for any health reason, but because I have agave and am out of honey )0 -
Sounds good. I made one yesterday that was a honey CURRY chicken in the crockpot.
Care to share that recipe?
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1 tablespoon olive oil
¼ cup low-sodium chicken broth
1½ teaspoons hot (Madras) curry powder
2 teaspoons honey (I actually used tablespoons because I misread the recipe and it came out fine, just a bit more calorific)
½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Cook chicken in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 6 minutes or until browned.
Transfer to a 4-quart slow cooker.
Whisk together broth, curry powder, honey, salt and pepper.
Pour over chicken.
Cover and cook on Low 6 hours or until chicken is done.
Sprinkle with parsley.0 -

Bump because I need a new chicken recipe...and yum!
I would also go heavier on the garlic0 -
Could probably calculate myself... but this seems like it would be high in sugar and sodium. Perhaps just no salt added tomato sauce instead of ketchup and reduced sodium soy sauce (a smidge less of that) and add in some veg to bulk it up... celery, bell pepper, onion and zucchini. All of those take on other flavors really well. Plus it would up the fiber content.
Just my two cents!!
