I am going to the pool this weekend with my kids and friend, and I would like some ideas for what to take for lunch and snacks for myself...any suggestions?

Sandwiches and chips are always a good option. Fruit also.

The same thing you would eat elsewhere. Not sure why location would matter!

When going to the pool I fix sandwiches and take lots of fruit and water.

Fruit and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. My dad used to bring them when we went to the beach. They are amazing when you are really hungry and have been exercising. Use hearty bread so they don't get mushy. If you don't like the sugar in jelly, make your own in a few mins with no sugar pectin.

No sugar blueberry jam: (my favorite because there is no prep. Fruit juice is perfect too)
    1 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
    1 cup water
1 T ball so sugar pectin

-mix well and bring to a boil that doesn't go away when stired
-pour into jar and put in fridge
-use quickly since it isn't processd.

I don't always eat at the pool, but when I do, I prefer to eat out.

^ My mom used to make us wait 2 hours after eating before we could go swimming. It was torture :grumble:

Not exactly sure why you would need to eat at the pool, but whatever floats your boat i guess

Because I am a homebody, I go to work, and home, and it's easy to pop a lean cuisine in the microwave....
