Need to get back on track

So I've always been a very healthy person, working out 4-5 times a week and eating relatively healthy every day. I just graduated college on May 3rd and after that, may or may not have celebrated "extensively". I let myself slip up for an entire month, consuming too much alcohol, sweets and fattening foods.
This makes me feel like crap because I can see myself losing the muscle and body that I worked so hard to get before. I'm moving to Chicago for a new job this Friday and am more than excited to get back on track.
Any words of advice how to get back on the right track? How long will it take to lose the little bit of weight I have put on, or do you think it's majorly water retention? And how long will it take me to get my muscle back?
Thanks again in advance.

me and you are in the same boat. i gained like 5 or more lbs in may from drinking and overeating on the weekends, but its only one month and us canadians have to get out and enjoy the spring while it lasts.
just refocus your goals and do what you know you need to do, lower your food intake and keep on exercising. i would think that you havent lost much, if any muscle since it was only a month, especially if you still were working out in may. as for how long itll take to lose what you put on, thatll depend on how much you weigh and how much you gained, i cant imagine that you gained a ridiculous amount in the past month though0 -
From my experience, weight that gets put on quickly comes off fairly quickly...assuming you have the metabolism for it. Get back to your healthy eating habits and workout hard. You'll get there, it just takes time and consistency. Also, having a support system is really important if you're struggling. I help to run weight loss support groups through Facebook. I'd be happy to chat with you about it if that is something you're interested in.

Be miserable. Or motivate yourself. Whatever has to be done, it's always your choice.

There are no magic pills. Only hard work and dedication.
It's about moderation not deprivation. There are no good/bad foods, only bad eating habits. Do or do not, there is no try. You have to want it, you have to work for it, you have to realize that only you can do it.

Just get on the right track. There is nothing more complicated to it than that!
Get on track today. Then do it again tomorrow. I am getting on track after letting myself go for a month or two myself. You got this!0 -
