Okay I know I can't be the only person on the face of this Earth that simply can't deal with "inner ear" style headphones

Now I've tried all types of gels and insertions for my ears and they all either fall out, or hurt my ears after a short amount of time. Recently I tried some different style "pseudo" ear buds

They are shaped differently with the speakers facing forward rather than towards the inner ear and have the supporting gel to keep them in. They worked "okay" but I couldn't keep them from sliding out enough that I lose a ton of bass / clarity on my sound.

How incredibly frustrating... I don't want to wear my nice Bose headphones because I will sweat and the earpads are made of foam, but can't deal with inner ear style.

Trying to find a solution!

    I SWEAR BY yur buds headphones. They sit inside your ears so having something in there bothers you they may not be great for you. They DO NOT fall out... ever. That was my big problem with all other headphones so I found my brand and I'm sticking with them!

    Yurbuds! They're awesome - it's the only thing that will stay in my ears during long runs and lots of sweat, plus they're comfy!

    I have the Bose IE2 ear buds. They are the best ones I have ever found. They are a little pricey but you can even answer your phone with them. Them don't fall out and you can't even feel them in your ears . These ear pads are silicone so they withstand the sweat and funk

    I have skullcandy in-ears with soft silicone thingies and the ones I use for running are skullcandy as well, but with a thin comfortable wing around the ear and no in-ear plug (which I prefer for safety reasons).

    I loathe the marquis de sade ear buds that apple ships phones with.

    I prefer bluetooth headphones myself. No cables to tangle. They stay in my ears on longer runs.

    these are super comfy and have detachable pieces for folks who have a hard time keeping them in their ears.

    I swear by my Plantronics Bluetooth headphones! No wire to get in the way. Comfortable and stay put!

    Ear bud issues too! I have super small ears. I found some specifically for women. They're still too big, but better than generic ones. I can't remember the brand but if you ask (I was at Future Shop) they might be able to help.

    Wanted to add that the in-ear ones came with silicone ends in two different sizes.

    I also have sensitive ears and earbuds hurt after a time. I like yurbuds as well, they are soft and held in place by a loop around your ears. But I just got some apple earpods. I barely feel them after a few minutes and they don't fall out.

    I've always had the problem with buds falling out and I don't want to wear anything over my ear, so I can hear traffic, etc.

    I recently got iLuv fitactive, with a special piece to anchor to the ear, but it barely works, IF i rig it up, upsidedown, looped around my ear and tied at the chin. sigh. They don't sell yurbuds where I live, but I will try to pick some up in the US this Summer. I have my doubts (I have crazy ears and surgery on them when I was little didn't help).


    But, OP, if you can't stand stuff in your ear, you might want to check out Aftershokz bone conduction style. Seems cool from the description, but I've never tried. Might be pricey. Good luck!

    The only headphones I use are the Bose Oe2

    Both of the above headphones are about $200 so I don't mind paying money for good headphones if it means comfort and not sweating my butt off

    I'm very fond of these ones. They do go in your ear but they're really soft and a little squishy, so they don't hurt. And since they've got the clip they never come off. I've had mine for almost 3 years now and never any issues.

    Jaybird Bluebuds X. Three different earpiece sizes that are very soft, three wing sizes that are very soft, bluetooth - and you can tighten them around the back of your neck so they don't budge at all. The neck wire can be over ear or under ear, so basically, very customizable.

    They don't make your ears hurt like a lot of in-ear headphones, and they have a control on the side of the wire which pauses, skips, reverses or activates siri (if you're on an iphone).

    Yurbuds are also highly rated, and would be something to look in to :)

    I've worn these for years and found them to be both comfortable and secure (since I can't get earbuds to work with my ears, I've searched a lot for good over-ear headphones):

    Well, they're sports headphones... so typically sweating is already in progress. :)

    But yeah, cans are going to feel "hotter" than buds. The materials on the Soul sports cans are designed to handle it though, so you don't get that "slick sticky cow butt" feel that vinyl or faux leather pads give you.

    They work very well and are affordable if I lose them. They stay in during all sorts of activities even housecleaning and being upside down

    See the headband I'm wearing in my profile picture? That's your solution. Put it on over the ear buds and you will get great sound with no slippage.

    honestly do some research bose are not that great. I am talking about home audio. Not sure about earbuds or headphones. But if it was me i would buy Klipsch.

    I had these same earphones (til the cat chewed through the cord) and agree they are great. Don't have them anymore but have found that the ones that I have the least problems with are the kind that the connector goes behind your head, not over it - they seem to be less likely to make you feel like you are wearing earmuffs (you don't get as hot feeling).

    I have researched headphones one after another over the course of a few months. I've gone to forums (including audiophile sites etc) and have gone store to store to store trying on various headphones and styles.

    I'm aware that Bose isn't the best but it certainly is not paired up with $15 headphones either.

    There's also a reason I have studio headphones (the Audio Technica's) and that is because the Bose headphones are more light weight and don't take as much drive as my ATH headphones along with being slightly less accurate. The Bose headphones that I have are more for portability with great sound quality, but do not match the studio quality that my home headphones do.

    Don't assume that I HAVEN'T done research because I have... a ton of it.

    Which ones? There are so many to choose from and there are several designs, so which design do you use, since they work differently.

    ^^^This works too, but if you live in TX or down south it may make you a lot hotter than you want
