Good Day,

Have you heard of the show "I used to be fat"? It comes on MTV; Wednesdays at 10:00pm. They're on the 3rd episode now. This show is a great tool for those (like myself) who wants to lose dead weight but having motivation problems.

A lot of us start dieting and stop or start dieting and are NOT quite sue of what we are doing! This show is really good and you get to watch these young people struggle (like us) to reach their goal weight but JUST don't know how. The personal trainers PUSH them everyday and they see results!

I encourage everyone to watch this show and tell me what you think. If you have this; DVR it and watch this with your love one especially if you're struggling with your weight.

Good Luck with your weight targets!

Ive been watching this show too. It motivated me to get back on weight watchers and start going back to the gym again. In the last week i have lost 4 pounds and keep watching the replays of that show everytime i get the urge to cheat on my diet. Its a real motivator thats for sure :)
  • I just watched the second episode Thursday night while I was running at the gym...I really like it and it's so much more positive than Teen Moms, though I'm pretty into that too, LOL...

its an OK show i guess...
    actually i don't like it...
    reasons:

♥they loose the weight tooo fast which is unhealthy and a bad example

♥they have all that extra skin and it freaks me out! aha

    ♥its a little annoying

its like its not real...like most MTV shows...like shoot ur not gonna loose that 90lbs in 90 days and MAINTAIN IT!
    they will gain it back.

the faster u loose = faster it can come back

I have been watching the show and I love it! It is very inspiring, but they must put in a LOT of hard work to lose that much weight in 4 months so I find it a bit unrealistic for people without trainers. It is still fun to watch though.

at least teen moms is more REALISTIC :p
  • I really like the show. While they might accomplish things a bit faster than I will, it's still inspirational to watch them work hard and transform their lives. I also really like it because I'm the same age as all of the people on the show so I can relate to them in more ways than I could with the people on the biggest loser or something like that.

I like the show b/c it really shows that weight loss is a DAILY struggle. You have to take it one day at a time and you have to work hard everyday. They are so lucky to have the personal trainer for that extra motivation and guidance.

  • Hi All. I've watched "I used to be fat" and I think it's a good show. However, I don't think those results are typical. What about the average person who is at their job like 9-10 hours a day. When do you get ALL of that working out in? The one thing I really like tho is the calendar that counts down. Anyone know how to get it?

I get your point, however the show is supposed to show kids who just graduated high school and are losing weight the couple months during summer before they leave for college so I guess it is easier for them to work out all day.
  • I'm happy to report that I'm 14lbs down! I also found a countdown calendar on Amazon! It's been a great motivator for me. If anyone is interested in it, the link is below.
