Had to laugh at this one. "Destroy fat and build muscle using this one weird trick." LOL :laugh:0 -
According to the ad I see at the very top of this very page, you are wrong. It is FOUR foods never to eat. Please disregard any discussion of limiting your pickle intake.
We apologize for any inconvenience.0 -
Never eat puffer fish that wasn't prepared by an expert chef trained in its preparation, as well as CPR and other basic life-saving skills.
Actually, you're probably better off just not eating it. You'll save a lot of money that way, too.
Seriously, though, those lists of "x foods to avoid" are generally full of crap, and it's also likely that the author wants to sell you something unnecessary. Avoid foods that make you sick or that you are allergic to, and eat the things you enjoy in portions that are appropriate for your daily intake goals.
Soy milk is controversial because of potential hormonal issues caused by the soy, but bananas are fine, to the best of my knowledge. A lot of people say to avoid them because they are quite starchy, so if you're trying to reduce your carb intake, you might want to avoid or at least limit them. But otherwise...

There is only one food you must never eat - trying to lose weight or not:

Nope broad beans are deeelicious!!!!!!0 -
I'm sorry, but the above posters are wrong.
There are 5 foods that you should never ever eat:
4. Any kind of pickle that is not a dill pickle
The number of faces after ( ) show how bad each of them are for you.
**not listening! not listening! not listening!** lol
Being raised in the south, we were fed what we called "bread and butter" pickles, which are basically the sweet pickles... My grandmother made these often and they were AMAZING.
We have bread and butter pickles here in New England too. I grew up eating them. Yum!0 -

`not sure if serious...
Oh definitely serious. Those foods should be banned from the universe. It's just too hard to consider their calories when I have to subtract a certain amount after gagging in the toilet.0 -
Off the top of my head...
The only reason I can think that you might want to stay away from bananas is if you are T2D, or have IR or some such dysfunction that blood sugar doesn't regulate properly.
The only reason I can think of that you might want to stay away from soy milk or soy products is because it is controversial in terms of thyroid health or contraindicated for folks with thyroid dysfunction.0 -
I read yesterday about 5 food to never eat when trying to lose weight, 1 was bannanas and another was soy milk. This has confused me as I have both of these daily and am worried it will get in the way of me loing weight. Does anyone know if there is any truth in it?
just for sh!ts and giggles...what were the other 3 foods?
hey, don't judge, it's a slow day here in my world :laugh:0 -
But otherwise...

I bought those once by accident, and had to throw the jar away. Dill pickles all the way!
I typically don't like the store bought ones either... But if you had the ones that my grandmother made, you'd change your mind. :P0 -
