Moving to KNOXVILLE

HI everyone! My daughters and I will be moving from Michigan to Knoxville, TN this summer...wondering if anyone can recommend (or vehemently NOT recommend) an apartment complex. I will be working in W. Knox...so I'm hoping to stay over in that area. Price range is under $1030 a month - looking for a 3 bedroom. I was looking hard at Legacy Pointe - any opinions??? (Was also looking at Fox Lake Condos - but read that they sometimes have a serious bug problem and some drug issues along their walking path.)

    My suggestion is to contact the police department that services that area... But be ready for apprehension to recommend anything... Some departments frown on giving out recommendations on anything... I would also do your own research... Use the internet to look for crimes that are happening in that area... See if they have a police blotter, local paper or even a facebook page for the department that reports incidents that happen... Just because it is not reported in the news, doesnt mean there isnt a problem... Many people move to my town thinking it is a nice and safe area... Then they see the reality after the fact... Also, if its an option, visit the area and get a feel for the people... Good luck!
