Is that true?

How many pounds woman should lift during strength training? Someone told me I shouldn't lift more than 30 pounds because then I will build to much muscles and I'll look like men.

I lifted weights for two years a long time ago, lifted up to 40 lb weights and I never bulked up like a man.

I've heard over and over by many ppl who lift heavy that unless your doping, you're not going to bulk up like a man.
Now.. I'm not saying that this is gospel!.. but this is from ppl who know a lot about lifting.

    That's 110% untrue. I bench 120. Deadlift 170. I look nothing like a man.

Women do not bulk when they lift heavy, they 'tone'.

Lift the heaviest weights you can with good form. Trust me on this.

You will start to look amazing when you lift as heavy as you can with good form, especially if you follow a good progressive program where there are regularly scheduled increases in weight that continue to challenge you. I am guessing whoever told you this doesn't want to you have a smoking hot body or the heath that comes from being strong.

If you want to look like a man, get a sex change.
If you want to be strong, trim, and look great, lift as heavy as you can.

    You won't get manly. Ever.

no. It's hard work to build manly muscles. Look at my profile pic. I lift heavy and I still barely look like a man.

It has nothing to do with the hair.

Is that because you have long hair or due to your chest hair being groomed into a heart?? LOL

Back in the heyday my PR's were bench 135 and squat over 200. I was never 'bulky'.

Now is another story... lol. But no, just no. You will not get bulky! Won't happen!

First, that is total BS as women can't get manly looking without hormones and/or surgery.

Second, you don't build muscles overnight. Try lifting and IF you start to look more muscular than you want you can always stop lifting and let those muscles atrophy. But, I highly doubt you will ever get to that point.

be careful you're vagina might actually fall out- I carry mine in a colostomy bag because at this point it just falls out all the time from heavy lifting.

also women ask me out because of how manly I am!!!!

I would totally ask you out. We could get nachos with yogurt instead of sour cream.

No, that's not true. That's just what THEY want you to think. Mostly so that when you don't get results you will go out desperately in search of diet pills, body wraps, and expensive shakes you have to add 20 more ingredients to just to choke it down.

Dammit, I thought I only needed to worry about that when I was running a marathon. You mean to tell me I need to worry about it at the gym, too?

I totally need to see results because if I don't I lose my motivation. I take only one pill (B4) once a day

Lift. Lift heavy for low reps.

You're not going to "look like a man" unless you're supplementing with questionable substances. If anyone tells you that "you'll look like a man," it means that they don't want you looking better and/or getting stronger than them.
