So I feel like I have been setting myself up to fail. I have these goals about how much weight I want to lose and incentives once I reach small goals but it just isn't working. I work very inconsistent hours (like 8am to 10pm some days etc.) so it is hard to keep a structured work out and eating routine. So I am going to go at it with a different approach. I am going to keep logging my food and exercise but instead of just focusing on what the scale says I am going to challenge myself to a challenge every 30 days. I have heard that after 30 days something becomes a habit so I will begin with one "habit" and then I will continue to add more over time.
The first challenge is going to be to do 1500 push ups in the next 30 days (ending on 2/4/11); I am planning on doing 100 push ups every other day starting today. My arm flab is a problem area that I want to work on so here goes. Anyone want to join? I will just post each time I do push ups and keep a running total.
