I did a 6 week class once, when I was bigger...man you use muscles you didn't know you had. I plan on doing it again one day.

    thank you.

I may be benching over a hundred pounds now, but there was a time when I could not even raise my arms above shoulder height to wash my own hair.

    Keep challenging yourselves.

Now this really is elite :drinker:

And you, over there? On the resistance training machines because you haven't quite worked up the courage for free weights? It's a question for you, too.

    Has anyone told you today?

This is so true! Pole started me on my aerial fitness journey. Four years later, I can easily bust out some pull-ups.

It's the pole hold that really develops the lats. You can do the same basic exercise on a pull up bar (holding yourself up, arms bent, chin over bar), and negatives (lowering slowly from the hold position). It isn't nearly as fun as pole or silks or lyra or whatever, but it'll get you to a pull-up. Be sure to watch those traps! Keep the shoulders away from the ears, engage the back!

Thank you! You are awesome too :flowerforyou:

I'm still working on pullups - I can only do 1 at a time, but I had a victory yesterday:

In January, I could only handle 3 modified pushups in a set. As of right now, I can do 10 REAL pushups in a set!!
