weight-loss and libido

I had been working out for a little while already when I met the love of my life and it had definitely increased my already-healthy libido. Now that I met the woman who fits me just right physically/mentally/emotionally it is even further amplified. Given that I also find her dangerously sexy I may be worse (or better!) off than a teenager.
We are both pretty fit and getting better all the time, especially after joining MFP. Noticing all the little changes in one another as we get more healthy is a big motivator, confidence booster and contributor to a very healthy love life. I finally feel like I am exactly where in life I am meant to be!0 -
ive lost 150 and my libido is the same as always
Same here. I've lost 'only' 127 though...but yep, totally the same...which is good.0 -
I would say yes yes yes.0

Well my sex drive was through the roof, can't even deal with it, wtf has happened to me high since I have lost weight and become active.
Until the hairbrush comment.
Now I'm just squirming....and not in the good way :ohwell:
Sweetie...your life will change once you "upgrade". As someone else mentioned, go to Amazon. You don't have to spend a lot and I promise you will feel much....better.....than with the hairbrush. Damn.0 -

My "drive" disappeared about three years ago. Doctor tried to get me started on Androgel, but I couldn't stand the taste.0

Mine increased quite a bit when I started losing weight an exercising. I assume it was partially confidence, reduced stress, and the increased physical activity.
^This.
I definitely fall into that born-again virgin category; wasn't even really interested in dating or anything else for over a decade. Started eating better, exercising, and losing weight last September. Became aware of increasing libido late fall/early winter. Back in the saddle since February. I am certain that it has to do with increased confidence AND increased physical activity. I did read somewhere that physical activity is a libido booster...0 -
Give me a cup of tea any day0

Yes when you lose weight your blood can circulate better. Do you see where I am going with this for guys and galls?0

K this is going to sound a bit TMI-ish but....
A better toy cuz a hairbrush is not cutting it anymore :blushing:
To save you time and embarrassment Amazon sells everything you could ever need.
Buy a Rabbit and if you have some extra cash pick up a Hitachi Magic Wand for about $50'ish.
All I'm saying is there are a TON of these items on groupon.0 -
When I initially lost weight it may have increased a little due to increased confidence, etc. But once I started Crossfit and powerlifting?
Watch. Out.0 -
Is there any way to stop it? (Don't suggest less exercise because that'll never happen)0

Remember... You get what you pay for.... Lelo0

Ladies, get one that plugs into the wall.
You're welcome.

You want to stop?0 -
absolutely!
This is all I want to do since I lost the weight!! :drinker:0 -
Absolutely! You lose weight and the body parts fit together better which in turn creates more position choices for increased pleasure with greater flexibility. Throw in renewed body confidence from the weight loss and stamina from all that cardio and its a win/win. ( And when you've worn your husband out I give the Magic Wand a five star rating0

I noticed when I lost weight sex increased and then I gained it back..and I just don't get as interested. I still want it but not as frequently and at some times I don't because I am boring and not as much fun because Im LAAAAZY0

Does she lift heavy weights? I think that can do it.0

I think increasing exercise also increases libido, and most people who are losing weight are also doing more exercise. It kind of makes sense.... increased blood flow to all your body.....

Eagar Beaver = My best friend.
But this has happened to me. My sex drive indeed has increased. I lost 83 lbs in all and I think most of the increase comes from me not feeling attractive before the weight loss. . But it could be something to do with just the loosing weight in general that increase in sex drive happens during weight loss. Not sure.. but definitely not complaining ! Just another great benefit in getting healthy :happy:0 -
My most horiness time though is right after a workout.0

Bump. I've been eating at a deficit for a bit over a month and I'm definitely noticing an increase in my libido. It's making me irrational.0

I've actually had the reverse happen. As I have been eating less, I am much less interested. I am near normal weight, and I have heard that this can happen with a calorie restriction, especially for older people, and I'm netting around 1200 and just maintaining. It just seems that I am more focused on my first meal of the day because I am starving in the morning, getting ready for work, or getting ready to workout because I have classes I regularly go to. At night, hubby and I are just too tired. I'm also somewhat annoyed at hubby because he hasn't joined me on my fitness journey, so maybe a bit passive-aggressive. He likes the results he sees in me, but not enough to try a lifestyle change himself.0

The confidence is a huge factor for me. But also, I just feel, big, slow, and sluggish with the weight. That doesn't make sex as appealing as it used to.0

"Since I lost all the weight sex has been frigging incredible, I want to do it all the time now. Seriously I'm like a flipping rabbit. It's gotten to the point where my husband has had to tell me that he has a headache. " Now I like to think I have a pretty healthy sex drive, but is it possible to have a higher drive just because you lost weight?
Not for me - at least in the sense of wanting to have sex. I have ALWAYS, and ALWAYS want sex. So high libido. Faptastically so. What changed for me after losing a few LBS is feeling more, well...ermmmm sexy I guess. It removed some of the rhetoric, dialog, and worry in my head about how I looked and if I was attractive enough. I feel more comfortable having sex.0
