This could help explain the love affair with many if not all fad diets...

I always liked Michael Shermer. But I'm a skeptic to begin with.
It's almost like you could compare certain fad diets to certain cult-like religions...

Also, the dangers of acute, foodborne illness, caused by contamination in the field or contamination during transport or storage is downplayed by those following a raw foods diets.
Make sure you are washing your foods, particularly greens.
