And I just looove chocolate. <- the devil:devil:
so i was wondering is there any thing that helps better for losing weight? ( veggies - i know but some extras??) ex; i heard the kiwi is good...
and how much calories it takes to lose one lbs?

I am not always a huge vegie fan either but I have improved since coming here. Carrots are yummy and you can cook them with honey and they are very tasty. How about soups? They are a great way to get vegies in. I have recently been eating alot of fresh beats and have found they are tasty paired with apples. Maybe get a juicer and juice combinations of fruit and vegies togethor.
Strawberries are great and papaya even mangoes are delicious. Making smoothies is one of my favorite treats.

Hon, I am right there with ya! Here are some tips that helped me. I hate veggies... but I like carrots... i munch baby carrots all day at work. A good way to get all the good stuff from veggies without actually eating veggies.... try Juicy Juice Surprise Harvest Juice (or V8 Splash)... they hide veggies in fruit juice.. and you never have to know you're actually getting veggies.... smoothies are a good one... its like having a sweet treat... a good sub for junk food.
As for junk food itself... you CAN have "junky" food without giving it up totally. Try subbing a low fat cookie... like Vanilla Wafers... try eating baked chips instead of the normal fatty ones. My nutritionist told me about this kind of brownie mix you can get at health food stores... no pudge... its a pink box with a pig on it... they're lowfat. Also try DARK chocolate if you have to have it... its better for you. You can eat the stuff you normally do... just insert the more healthy choices and make substitutes for everything else... like using ground turkey instead of ground hamburger... stay away from packaged foods whenever possible. Also going whole wheat and whole grain as much as possible.
Good luck!0 -
Hersheys sticks are really good come in different flaves for only 60 calories, as for veggies and fruit you just have to find what works for you, usually i try to try something new everyweek or so, like recently i found out i love asparagus but only if they are fresh and roasted in the oven with a little EVOO and salt, but no way :noway: no how will ever be able to celery, just the smell makes me  , also if you something tat you not exactly crazy about but can deal with, if you eat a little of it every day for two weeks your taste buds will adjust to it. oh yeah you can also try hiding veggies in your food like adding chopped cauliflower and mushrooms to your burgers will not only decrease calories but you get your veggies into, i think heard about jerry seinfields (sp?) wfe has a cookbook out that is all about hiding veggies in food. you should definitly look it up. good luck :flowerforyou:
sorry about the spelling errors i am soooo :yawn:0 -
I've gotten to where it is VERY rare that I eat any kind of fast food or junk food. My trick is to make something at home that satisfies the craving, but is healthier. Like making a homemade turkey burger instead of going through Wendy's. It helps satisfy the craving MOST of the time and I can make it WAY more healthy. If I do this, wait a few days and the craving still won't let it go away I'll let myself have the real deal, BUT I have to be careful NOT to get in the mind set that its okay to do a lot. Sometimes, I just have to suck it up.
Not much on veggies either...Love fruit...so I'm interested to see how others get their veggies in too.0
