Judging only by single foods and not total diet, quinoa has more to offer than pasta.

In regards to nutrition. Fiber, protein, micronutrients.

And less Niacin, Thiamin, Pantothenic Acid and Manganese. I can single out items as well. And the "protein profile" isn't more complete...they offer the same essential and non-essential aminos, albeit in different, though similar, amounts.
Quinoa might offer more of some items than pasta, but you can turn that around as well. I happen to prefer my mac and cheese with pasta, but really don't care as long as there is bacon.0 -

You guys would never believe what I just did. I took a healthy, nutritious grain like quinoa and turned it into a baked Mac and cheese. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!
I feel guilty and devilishly happy at the same time.
Even without the quinoa, how is Mac and Cheese a sin?

Cheese is only a sin if you are lactose intolerant. Now the macaroni is a sin if you have gluten or insulin issues.
But if you have none of those problems... you could have just had a reasonable portion of mac n cheese.0 -

Unless you were going for vegan, I can't see it as a sin. I tried to be raw vegan for a while, then just vegan but my mind set has changed somewhat. I am still against me eating processed foods for the most part but I have decided that the "calories in, calories burned" idea makes more sense. I was under eating as a raw vegan and my body went into starvation mode. I stopped losing. Since switching to counting calories, I have more energy and feel much better. I don't feel deprived because I know I can eat anything...even cheese...as long as I count my calories. You didn't go over so it's all good.0
