And isnt 36 pretty much middle-age?

Technically speaking, since many of us are living well into 100... shouldn't 50 be middle aged?

30 is the new 20 so they tell me, because 40 is supposedly the new 30. So that being said, and me being 41, 33 would then make you 22 which would be young..

I guess some need to rationalize age somehow.
Oh jeeze, I hope that isn't true. Nothing good happened in my 20's and I've loved the 30's and looking forward to my 40's, walker and orthopedic shoes and all...

Since people started living till their 90s. 30's were considered middle-aged because before advances in medicine people only lived till their 60s

I'll be 26 in exactly a month. I'm just now starting to consider 33 not that old at all. My brother turned 34 in March, for goodness' sake. He's not old at all.

Well, when the life expectancy was mid 50's that made 30 old. Now that people live into their late 80's and early 90's and average early 70's, 30 is the new 20.

whoa whoa whoa... I am 34, turning 35 in november, and I still feel about 21 at heart! I don't think I look that old either. Some people my age I guess due to smoking, lots of sun exposure, and drug use look terribly old though. Either way you are as young as you feel, and feel young darnit!
