Since when is 33 considered young?

33 is young! I love my 30's I'm old enough to have learned from my mistakes but young enough to make plenty more. I can't complain.0

When you're a senior citizen and referring to someone as 33 .. then, and only then is that young0

I'm 34 and I still feel like a naive, ignorant girl sometimes. But I have a good career, and a paycheck that would shame most men half again my age. So age has it's privileges.0

33 is young if you are a scientist - you can still apply for "early career awards" if you're under 35!
I'm 31 so still a baby! :-)0 -
And isnt 36 pretty much middle-age?

Age is just a number. At the age of 50, 51, 52, and 53, I left 20 somethings eating my dust during weight lifting competitions. Yep, I won 4 championship titles in a row.
As for 33, dang, I have shoes older than that! My youngest KID is 13 years OLDER than that! I'm almost 64 and healthier than I was at the tender age of 33.
At 33 you're not even old enough to run for President! :bigsmile:0 -
Late 30's isn't so bad is it??0

If ~80 is the average life expectancy, and 40 is the halfway mark, then wouldnt a 10 year range of 35-45 be middle age and 45+ be elderly?0

Since when is 33 considered young?
When you're a 60 yo man hitting on your daughters friends!0 -
I'll be 40 in a few months...I'm totally having a mid-life crisis and I can't afford a sports car or a motor cycle...until my kids get to school and out of daycare.0

And isnt 36 pretty much middle-age?
Technically speaking, since many of us are living well into 100... shouldn't 50 be middle aged?0 -
when ur 44..lol0

Thank g0d I'm finally old ...now I can eat my dinner at 4 pm in peace, and be asleep by 9. Now get off my lawn you whippersnappers!!!0

Well im 35 and I know Im not young but I know IM SURE AS HELL NOT OLD Lol.. Your as old as you feel. Im saying I feel 300

30 is the new 20 so they tell me, because 40 is supposedly the new 30. So that being said, and me being 41, 33 would then make you 22 which would be young..
I guess some need to rationalize age somehow.0 -
Since people started living till their 90s. 30's were considered middle-aged because before advances in medicine people only lived till their 60s0
-
Yay! i feel good about being 30 now0 -
I'll be 26 in exactly a month. I'm just now starting to consider 33 not that old at all. My brother turned 34 in March, for goodness' sake. He's not old at all.0

Since I turned 35... and since I plan to live a lot longer than 70... 35 IS NOT MIDDLE AGE!0

You can tell who the old people are in this thread because they are getting feisty! It is so cute.0

Well, when the life expectancy was mid 50's that made 30 old. Now that people live into their late 80's and early 90's and average early 70's, 30 is the new 20.0

Child = 0-17
Young adult = 18-39
Middle aged = 40-61
Senior = 62+0 -
whoa whoa whoa... I am 34, turning 35 in november, and I still feel about 21 at heart! I don't think I look that old either. Some people my age I guess due to smoking, lots of sun exposure, and drug use look terribly old though. Either way you are as young as you feel, and feel young darnit!0
