Cleanse advice for first timer?

Hi all, I've just begun the process of losing weight/getting a healthy shape. My number of pounds is not as important to me specifically as my overall feeling of healthiness is. I've always been chubby but have gained 70 pounds over the last couple of years and have officially crossed over in to "obese" territory.
I just started making dietary changes and doing cardio at the gym, but I want to do some type of juice cleanse.
I did the master cleanse once before, but only for a few days as a test. I want to do it again, for the full ten days, but in concerned because my job can be very physically demanding. Is there anything I can use to supplement the cleanse to keep my energy up that won't counteract the benefits?

Yah don't do the cleanse...there is no point.
Your kidney's and liver do that natuarlly.
There are no actual benefits to a clense.0 -
Eat 6 ounces of "sugar free" chocolate.. that will cleanse you.0

No No and No
No need to cleanse unless you don't have a functioning kidney, liver, colon, etc.
And if that's the case - call 911 immediately.0 -

Don't do it.
This. The only think a cleanse will ACTUALLY cleanse is your bank account.0 -
They are dumb. Don't waste your money and time.0

No benefit to a cleanse and a complete waste of time/energy/money. Easiest way to counteract the lack of energy that a cleanse will give you is to not do it.0

Don't cleanse.0

Just eat real food. Your body will cleanse itself.0
-
Why do you want to do a cleanse? What are the supposed benefits?0
-
Cleanses are not necessary, that's what your liver and kidneys are for! If you want to do your body good, eat at a healthy calorie deficit, eat healthy 80% of the time (and reserve a few calories for a treat!), drink water and move!! There is no need for drastic measures!!0

Why bother?! Eat a balanced diet of nutritious foods at a deficit and the weight will come off. I don't believe there is any scientific proof that a cleanse will do anything more than a balanced diet can.0

counteract the benefits?
Losing water weight along with energy and the ability to think straight? No thanks!
Best advice has already been posted - don't do it.
Calorie deficit, get some exercise, patience. Works great.0 -
