Peanut Butter French Toast! 18g protein!! Under 400cal!
They say eat breakfast like a king, and this will certainly satisfy your morning sweet tooth!
INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon peanut butter
1/2 cup of your favorite milk (l used 1% milk from ShopRite)
2 slices sprouted whole-grain bread (I used 100% whole grain whole wheat bread, Pepperidge Farm)
1 teaspoon olive oil
sliced fresh fruit for serving
INSTRUCTIONS
Step One: In a shallow bowl or pie dish, whisk peanut butter with milk. (I found it a bit difficult to successfully combine the peanut butter and milk via whisking, so I poured it into a mixing cup and used my hand blender, then put the mixture into a shallow bowl for dipping).
Step Two: Dip bread slices into mixture, and cook in skillet brushed with olive oil for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, or until toasted to your satisfaction. Serve with sliced fresh fruit.

Hmmm.....bump0

bump. I bet it would be good with bananas on top!0
-
That sounds great and you can always choose another peanut butter to reduce the calories.0
-
EDIT: The calories include the entire mixture + the 2 pieces of bread. The mixture actually makes enough for 5 pieces of bread! So you're only have 2/5 of the pb/milk mixture which lowers the calories to 269 per serving!!
I'm reposting the recipe with more accurate description!
